New Sony INZONE gaming headsets & monitors

900$.... no thank you. Wish the M3 was 1440p along with being 27in with all the other specs and then I may have thought about the splurge.

i wish sony let their 1000 series headphone have native ps5 support. i use my xm3-4's and 5's almost every day
Seeing how phone manufacturers are trying to desperately kill off the headphone jack i might as well get myself a pair of XM4s and get the best wireless audio currently

Ultrawide or curve for what ? PS5 doesn't support Ultrawide and there's no point going curved with 16:9

Also my C1 OLED trash these gimmicky monitors they're coming out . IPS in 2022 :messenger_tears_of_joy:
PS5 doesn't support g-sync either. Folks in this thread are talking about it for pc and not just ps5. This is a monitor aimed at pc gamers and it's going to fail. $900, GTFO here with that price.

so? this is about general monitor designs.

This one actually looks good compared to most other monitors despite what you think about the inspiration.
It juts out so you can't even put a keyboard in front of it properly.

And it's 27", so you'll want to be quite close anyway. Ugly and stupid design.

tbh id get those monitors, but i don't really care that much about HDR, and 1440p is a far better fit for me seeing as how i have a 6650 xt. The inzone M3 would work but that's like 500 fucking dollars. The Samsung Odyssey G5, which is at 1440p 144hz, is far more affordable at 320 (it's currently on sale on amazon for 249)

96 zones according to unbox therapy review. I think it's a pretty solid number. The only downside to me is that it's being 600-nits. I wanted a cheap 1000nits HDR monitor for HDR editing and the cheapest, with great colors, is Apple's outrageous (no stand) $4,000 monitor that is in my radar. I think I'll stick to my plan and just go for Sony X95K 65" MiniLED with 1,500nits.
Ouch. 96 is ok for a monitor but generally tragic.
Seems like it's going to be one of better monitors

I honestly believe it's aiming at content creators as well, as many would consider it over any other goofy gaming screen for that price point. I doubt any monitor would meet its picture quality and color accuracy, especially that it's manually-calibrated like master series TV's from factory for M9.

Isn't 27" a bit small for 4k res? I would be interested if it was 32".

Btw does GAF have any evergreen thread on monitors? At some point i would like to pick up a 4k monitor, just not sure which one and when (i see a lot of comments here mentioning to wait for next year).

You must not know anything about pc monitors. That's actually a pretty good price for the feature set. Reviews are coming in pretty solid.

So? The first post you responded to from me I said I hoped Sony would ditch this designer and style before the PS6.

If you can't follow along then don't bother replying just because you've been triggered by differing opinions.

If 27" in front of your face is small, imagine how excessive 4K is to most TVs set up regardless of size.

My 23" monitor occupies a bigger area in my view than a 49" TV I have that is in the wall 60cms behind it.

I am an audiophile and most of those brands are way over rated. Twice the price for maybe 10% improvement over the affordable brands.

Expensive and not a huge improvement over the affordable brands. Only buy those if you have money to burn.
If you like any Playstation branded headphones and think you're an audiophile, then you need to go get your hearing checked. Brand zeal is a helluva drug.

You are right. When You are at koss porta pro / sony pulse 3d level (similar sound signature to me), you have to pay much much much more for insignificant audio improvements that might be subjective at best.

As silly as the design of the stand is, it's a gaming monitor with other media consumption second.

So that's a silly comparison.
I mean, I get it, but I was just sharing my opinion. I am not sure what about what I said that triggered you but hey we all have our opinions on things!
Focusing on other media plus gaming can't be a bad thing. I am sure there are monitors that probably do that.

These guys are morons lol. My current 2.1 monitor (LG-27GP950-B) which was sold out for like a year, retailed for $899 and doesn't have FALD or USB C. M9 is priced very competitively.

The problems with headsets is desk mics became super popular with podcast in the last two years, people love the airpods, Dre beats, also Sonys built in controller mic became a big thing.

Most Headsets mics are trash and I higly doubt this will change with these headsets.

Don't know why It's so hard to include decent mics. The. V-moda boom pro shits on the garbage gaming headset mics. For just 30$.

Very happy to see Sony release a PC Monitor with G-Sync support and good to see decent HDR support.

Here's hoping they will release a 32" version with more HDR zones in the future, I'd buy one for sure.

They match Sony's upcoming VR headset with the cheap white plastic look.

Wouldn't be surprised if that hits PC as well. Bring it Sony. Bring everything.

With Sony getting into monitors this will increase the chance of supporting 1440p.
They have even less incentive now to support 1440p given that they didn't show a 1440p monitor.

They have no 1440p monitor or TVs, history shows (like with VRR) that Sony likes to hold support on the PS5 to things their other products don't benefit from.

Strictly speaking performance wise for the PS5, is the C1 not better and cheaper? I see the 48" C1 for $797 right now.

EDIT: Better and cheaper than the M9.

The design language from Sony is horrendous.

Just like PSV2, none of these products look remotely appealing and they look as hideous as the PS5.

Also the monitors are overpriced trash. Get yourself an LG C2 instead.

What are you dumb ?! Grab that shit (if it's new).
It's the best tv in the world right now. Fkn amazing. Much cheaper than c2 and even got backlight strobing mode that was removed from c2

What is the 'backlight strobing mode'?

I love the fact that Sony is getting back into the gaming monitor market. My main hope is that they will work more closely with their TV division to make the TVs a tad bit more gamer friendly.

There is black frame inserted between each frame if you run at 120 or 60hz if I remember correctly.
This is a feature to completely eliminate all blur like on crt.
I dont use it but people swear by it

Ah. BFI can cause flickering and also darkens the panel unnecessarily.

Monitor designs are pretty trash tbh, from all brands.

This is one of the less ugly ones lol
For real, monitor games have this confusing mixed gamer/racecar(???) type aesthetic that looks like absolute dog shit every time. The Inzone monitor looks fine other than the pointless LED. I'm convinced that shitty LEDs on monitors exist primarily to annoy you into installing the manufacturer's spyware so you can turn them off.

Does VRR work with backlight strobing on C1?
