Who? I don't know this RGG. I suppose they've made the Yakuza series?
I've never cared until Like A Dragon. If they all go turn-based JRPG like that, I'm in.So uhhh you guys not into Yakuza or what.![]()
Yeah I probably should have included "Yakuza devs" in the title, sorry about that.Who? I don't know this RGG. I suppose they've made the Yakuza series?
More than likely this will be a turn based game.
No issues with it, but I'm more inclined to the brawler style.
Ryū ga Gotoku is the Japanese name for the franchise.
I remember they shown some sneak peak of their next title and it had Ichiban and Nanba, so yeah it probably is another turn-based JRPG.I've never cared until Like A Dragon. If they all go turn-based JRPG like that, I'm in.
Anyone watching this?
I think they just said both Kiryu and Ichiban will be the protags of Yakuza 8.
Has this series been renamed "Like a Dragon" in the west? That was the subtitle of a Yakuza spin-off right? I'm confused.
Or is that the English translation of the Japanese name?
It looks like all future entries will come with the "Like a Dragon" name instead, which I guess makes sense cause that's literally the name of the franchise in Japan.
This game serves as a link between Yakuza 6 and Yakuza 8. It takes place after the ending of Y6.I'm hyped but....kinda confused on where this fits in the timeline, not gonna lie. I might need a refresher lol. I still haven't finished Yakuza 6, but I'm currently playing Like a Dragon. I didn't want to do it like that, but I broke my hand and couldn't really play the regular Yakuza games while it was healing, so I had to move on to the turn based one, and now I'm getting shit all twisted up in my head on when what happened in the series. I've finished Yakuza 0 and Kiwami, then Yakuza 4 and 5, just as a kind of reference to why I'm a bit confused.
I goddamn love these games so much, but they can be a bit convoluted and difficult to keep up with. Every game is so big and has so many characters and developments that when you view the franchise as a whole, it's really quite a gargantuan series to try and take in.
Awano and Kuze's actors still looking terrifying.
Ozawa (Kuze) and Takeuchi (Awano) are known for playing hard boiled characters in Yakuza movies actually lol.Did they hire actual yakuzas? Holy shit.
