Weird Al movie staring Daniel Radcliff First Trailer

This is so stupid it just might work. The Roku movie original gives it that cheap tinge that fills it full of charm.

Trailer feels way too cartoony and slapstick. A Weird Al story could be compelling enough to justify something like this, but I feel like the setting almost needs to be the straight man for something like this to work. Have Weird Al's bullshit and character be the levity, but keep it within the bounds of an otherwise believable setting. Having him get handed eight accordions like some Looney Tunes gag is just too on the nose for me.

I somehow doubt this will be better than UHF

Weird Al needs to be a detective in a murder mystery. The final episode is when we find out Elon Musk is the evil villain behind it all.

I watched something on a friend's Roku recently and the ads were such a pain in the ass that I stopped watching. I would love to watch this, if I can rent/purchase it on iTunes, YouTube, etc. I really hate ads and refuse to watch most things that are "free" for that reason.

I'm interested, but does it being on the Roku Channel mean that it'll have ads since that is a free service on Rokus? I want to watch this but don't want ads.

I like how Radcliff just does whatever the fuck he wants with his fuck you money. Based.

True, plus, he's not that bad of an actor (actually, he's pretty OK).
Now, try to compare him with the girl that played Hermione and...there's just no comparison.

PS: dude is now ripped apparently ?

ROKU® Original?! I'm shocked Roku are still around, let alone funding their own programming! How Radcliffe has fallen (well, they've all made enough for multiple lifetimes with Harry Potter, so... can do whatever the fuck they want, and Radcliffe has done some excellent, stupid, silly stuff. I have a lot of respect for that).

That said, I love Weird Al and like Radcliffe, so I'll give it watch even if it does look like a by-the-numbers docu-comedy. And it does seem like his British accent is still coming through in that trailer.

It does seem like something that Weird Al would pursue too. There's no way he'd want a regular biopic made; it would have to be completely silly and over the top. Apparently he specifically wanted Radcliffe too.

He's been ripped for years. Since at the very least 2008 when he did Dark Horse.

There is definitely something ironic about Harry Potter playing Weird Al lmao. That is such a Weird Al move if he actually wanted this hahaha.

Just watched this, Al co-wrote and produced it. It's totally a Weird Al movie and gets as bonkers insane crazy as UHF did at times. Holy shit it's crazy. Loved it. I was fucking dying during the Amish Paradise part. Tons of little Al references through the whole thing and he's in it.

Watched it last night. It's great fun and I highly recommend it if you like wild and irreverent humor... which you should if you're a Weird Al fan.

I feel like it loses a little steam in the second half (it's still funny and entertaining), but the first half is easily the funniest movie I've seen in years. I lost it on several occasions. Definitely worth a watch, especially if you enjoyed Dewey Cox.

The second half is where it goes totally off the rails into UHF territory. I loved the last 20 minutes for that.

I don't think anyone outside US know this man.
I do.. I remember his Michael Jackson "fat" the most though and watching his movie with the TV station... was really into Monty python and that kind of crazy over the top, surreal humour at that time, with some friends :)
but yea don't think he had that much of a fan base outside the US

I saw the Weird Al Behind the Music special after seeing this movie to see what was made up. I love how his parents were very supportive in real life, but in the movie…not so much! 😂 The cameos are so amazing. I need to go back and see if I missed any.

Dan's life is the literal dream. He has all the money he needs and just takes the jobs that makes him happy.

So many child stars in his position who are exalted early on go on to fail HARD. He seems to have beaten the curse. Good for him.

Just finished it. That was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a very long time. Absolutely fantastic.

Really enjoyed it. I did like the first half more in terms of laughs, with the Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story vibes. All in and all, it was great that the creators stayed so true to the source material and we got to see the real story of Weird Al.

Watched it the day released and I can honestly say I haven't laughed so much in possibly my entire life. It started off crazy and then went totally batshit insane but in such an amazing way.

So this weird al dude just use different funny words in famous songs?

So basically the american brigantony?

Overall, this was a great time. It's way too long and goes off the rails at the end a bit, but man oh man, that scene at the pool party had me rolling.
Watched this with my son, and he's worn a Hawaiian shirt every day since.

Because I used a world correctly.

Because I used a word correctly?

I think anyone finding this funny should watch it sober or while not on a mushroom trip or give back the money you were paid to lie or whatever you weirdos do :p

Watch Hobo with a Shotgun instead

You take yourself far too seriously.

Though that would explain why you didn't any joy a single second of the film. Why you therefore bothered with the whole thing is a mystery though.
