Dead Space - Trailer

At first I was confused, I guess since I haven't been following this project, I totally forgot this was a remake and not a reimagining. Does that mean there's still hope for the original story to be continued? I want Dead Space 4 :lollipop_pensive:

It's funny how it doesn't look all that impressive, but when you put up comparison shots, you can really see the improvements. And even further, I played Dead Space 1 last year and it still looked pretty great. So I don't know what to think.

I probably just need to see it on my 4k television, rather than crappy monitor.

Very well edited trailer

I've recently replayed Dead Space and it was neat to see again some setpieces during the trailer

I dont trust Motive, tho. I think it will be a good game, but they will get many things wrong when compared to the original.

I've already mentioned the lack of some subtle (and not so subtle) animations, so I'm pretty sure that there will be much more to complain about

Isn't it coming to Xbone/PS4?

Nope. Next gen only. The fact that it looks like a straight up PS4 game has launched it straight to the top of my "no buy, don't support cross gen games, or games that look cross gen" list.

This is a current gen only corridor shooter. Theres like 2 enemies on screen at once. It should legit be one of the best looking games ever made. The fact that Calisto looks miles better, and is a cross gen game made by a brand new studio is enough reason for me not to support this game.

Devs need to start pushing boundaries. Enough mediocracy. Push better fidelity or gtfo. Im gonna start letting my wallet do the talking.

Any word on if consoles are getting a performance mode? Deciding whether to get it on pc or PS5.

I'm still hunting for a 4090, but this is day 1 on PS5 for the controller feels, double dip on PC cause its that fucking good.

edit and I'm not some money bags type person, my Pell Grant will pay for my new PC build and its double dip on a steam sale lol

Watch our Dead Space Remake preview. Dead Space is largely a purist's remake, but its smart changes could potentially make it even better than the original Dead Space (2008).

Dead Space will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on January 27, 2023.

It's a remake. The only reason to replay this is to admire new graphics, otherwise old version is fine.
And I think the graphics, being main attraction here, should be better

The upcoming Dead Space remake might introduce an alternative ending, according to its trophy list. Based on the list revealed by TrueTrophies and spotted by TheGamer, the highly-anticipated remake comes with a trophy titled Reunion, and it unlocks once the player gets to "see the alternative ending on any difficulty mode." Developer EA Motive has not commented on the recent discovery yet.

New game plus is also mentioned and an "impossible mode".

Pre-ordered it. Fuck it, I love Dead Space and I'm all for supporting a comeback.

I want to believe I won't experience another Callisto Protocol.
