What game are you currently playing?

Currently rotating between Fortnite, Fallout 76 (PS5), Avengers (PS5), Conan Exiles (PS4), Assassins Creed Origins (PS4), Uncharted Golden Abyss (Playstation Vita). Too many games, not enough time.

Beat Hi-Fi Rush. "Fun" might be the best way to describe it, had a smile on my face 95% of the time. The other 5% I was raging at my own ineptitude with the combat or rhythm mechanics. :goog_relieved:

Really wish for a sequel.

Also playing Blasphemous. I did already back when it came out but never beated it, so now I'm giving it another go at the Deck. Love the spritework in this game, and it's atmosphere too. Must also be the videogame with the best spanish voice acting, ever.

Already thinking of what I could play after that. Probably Wanted: Dead, since it comes out in a few days, although I wouldn't mind giving Dragon Quest V a replay on my 3DS.

Having a break from more than 140 hours of persona 5 (I'm in the extra episode), just beat A Plague Tale Requiem from games pass, good damn game, it's just sooooo good, can't believe people don't talk about this franchise more, it's on my top list of franchises, looking forward to more from Amicia

After how many years i cracked open Pikmin 3 for the WiiU for the first time, looking to experience this franchise...and it wont go past the loading screen. Ugh...playing Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze instead.

Skyrim special edition is on sale for $10. I have the original version but haven't played since back when it came out. How good is the DLC? Any reason why I should dive back in?

There's a vampire DLC that adds crossbows and vampire lords, and a return to Solstheim from Morrowind DLC. Both are good.

Right at the midway mark of the Palace of the Dead (Tactics Ogre PSP). If I've done it before, it was a long time ago. So far, pretty smooth going. I'm guessing things are about to get tricky, as I'm coming upon my first cursed weapon. I'm enjoying the distraction of it from the very serious and sad nature of the main story. And of course because I've played it so much over the years. Nice change of pace, whist upping everyone's Thanatology skill.

Just got to the end of Sekiro.Wtf is Isshin about,he's a freak.I fought him four times and he completely destroyed me,I must've only hit him about 3 times
Yes Isshin is a really tough one. Just to be sure, where do you fight him ?

I find the Sabimaru useful as you can quickly poison him to reduces his health, making it easier to build up his posture meter.
After like usual, learn the different deflect timings. Umbrella can be useful on some attacks.

Something I really like to do was the Combat art that jump (my personal favorite is Nightjar Slash) to avoid sweep attack and at the same time do some (health) damage. Even so the standard double jump method do more posture damage I think.

dead space 3. First 5 hours or so I didn't understand the hate, but damn the ice planet gets annoying, so many strange gameplay choices
haha, remenber having the same impression. Like... Why is everyone hating on this? It's not so bad.... and then an hour or two later.... Oh, that's why. :D

Got my new PC, hoping Calisto protocol and Witcher remastered get more patches. So I'm playing resident evil 3 remake, which runs like a dream with everything maxed out.

Got it like a year ago for 10 bucks on steam. RE2 remake was my game of the year in 2019 or whenever it came out.
This isn't quite as good, but it makes sense because resident evil 3 original was not nearly as good as resident evil 2 original. But it's still a good time and I love the RE engines graphics. And Jill is a super hottie.

Where you fight Genichiro at the start of the game

Ok :)

So yes, tough one. As I said, Sabimaru can helps to poison him. After it's paying attention and learn the patterns and deflect timing.
Umbrella helped me with the charged attack with a wide area. (couldn't get the deflect timing on my first run)

Got through the game just using the sword,so I will look at the things you suggested, and give it another try tonight, thanks

Sword only works also (like on everything on this game). Tools are nice help for some situation. I like to use them to add flavor to the combat.

Ragnarok Online

Offline in this case. Been tweaking and editing a lot of stuff on my own private server for over a month. Lots of growing pains like learning how to work with SQLs and old school C++ with a bunch of other stuff for supplementary programs to work on customizing stuff.

Just been playing on my own with two or three clients so I can be DPS, tank and support all at the same time on PreRenewal patch.

Resident Evil 3 Remake on Nightmare Difficulty. I'm really enjoying it. I think over time I have come to be quite fond of this Remake, even though it has flaws and was short. I love the Jill & Carlos redesigns.

It's really fun on the higher difficulties, I always thought the game was a bit too easy on Standard & even Hardcore outside of a few sections. This though, I'm finding to be quite challenging, especially the Nemesis fights.

Mafia PS5

First time I'm playing a "free game" and didn't change after 10 minutes lol. I don't even know why I pay ps plus stuff… I just keep switching games and never touch them again.

But mafia is not bad at all… 2 days in a roll still same game

Been in a bit of a horror mood lately.

Evil Dead: Hail to the King
It's a bit groovy rough, isn't it? I love the films so I'm willing to give it a chance.

Obscure
This game reminds me of something and I can't bloody remember what. Like a Resident Evil/The Faculty crossover or something. Great game though. Wonder if the sequel is worth playing after,

I played the demo for Grim Guardians: Demon Purge, the Gal*Gun spinoff 2D platformer game. Seems pretty mid tbh. It's kind of... semi Metroidvania in that you unlock abilities to open paths, but the levels are seemingly more linear like a classic Castlevania game. But the actual level design seems more like a Metroidvania ie. it's kind of simple and downplays platforming in favour of the very basic combat mechanics. Idk. Maybe the level design gets more interesting later on.

It's also a two-character game where you swap between both, sort of like Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, but the characters don't feel fleshed out enough to justify it. They both have essentially the same traversal capabilities and basic offensive capabilities: one with a melee attack and one with a ranged attack... specifically I think Shinobu, the character using a machinegun, would have better synergy as a subweapon you summon to fire a burst than as a whole other character. When you fire as her you're rooted to the spot and have no options, which is boring. There's also a long recovery. Realistically you'll only use her for short moments when you need to attack something at range. Imagine if Megaman Zero didn't have synergy with the blaster & saber because he was two characters with a 1 second switching animation and it would be almost as bad as this. If you summoned her to fire independently of the other character, you could use her to stunlock an enemy to create an opening, or clear projectiles, or something... it would make so much more sense from a game design perspective.

It hurts especially because Curse of the Moon did it much better so you'd think they'd know – hell this feels like a spiritual sequel to those games as much as anything.

On the other hand I've finally surpassed 100 hours played in Gunvolt 3, and I think it's also surpassed Elden Ring as my favourite game of 2022... working my way through getting S++ runs on the hardest difficulty has been a lot of fun. It sucks that only Gunvolt fans play this game; Gunvolt fans are idiot losers who enjoyed Gunvolt 1 & 2 whereas this is legit a great game and probably the best that Inti have ever put out. But nobody plays it because it's the third game in a series that otherwise sucks (besides the first Luminous Avenger game).

I have all the games and they all suffer from the strangest design choices. The third game is way too easy just like Luminoys avenger 2. Infinite free healing and you're rewarded from dying by being made invincible? Stupid. Games need to have some element of risk vs reward in order to have some feeling of challenge.

Gunvolt 3 has variable difficulty though. If you just play on normal mode then sure, it's easy. Hard mode is easy too if you exploit image pulses. But on very hard (aka. merciless) difficulty you have to be able to play through with very limited abilities... you can't abuse heals or do anything crazy. I play without using any image pulses at all and it's fun. And on trial mode you're forced to play through honestly without any image pulses. On top of all of this you play for score which means not getting hit, which means learning the bosses... also you have to learn the levels and how to maximise score which involves some puzzling on its own.

It's a game where the difficulty ultimately relies on the player. If you want a casual game, you get a casual game. I'm not sure how you failed to notice the harder difficulties unless you literally did not finish the first playthrough

edit:
For example of how you can play the game hardcorely:

That is true I just wish they'd allow those harder modes to be unlocked right away

They're definitely fin games for rhe most part and I love the pixel art of these games.

I agree they should allow difficulty modes to be selected from the beginning

My opinion is that the other Gunvolt games are bad, so I wish people would play this one, but it feels like people are unwilling to start on game #3 lol even when the story has nothing to do with previous games

Yeah ...but isn't it a consensus that Gunvolt 2 is actually quite good? As well as Lu Aven.1?

Luminous Avenger iX 1 is legit good yes. But I'm talking more in terms of general opinion than Gunvolt fan opinion. I think that a lot of people who played Gunvolt 1 wrote the series off on the spot. Also Gunvolt 2 is only half good; the Gunvolt levels suck ass still.

I'm all over the place this month.

Finished:
- Hoa
- A Memoir Blue
- Florence
- Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery

Playing:
- Final Fantasy XIII
- Uncharted 4 (going for 100% Achievements)
- Motorstorm Pacific Rift (Best in the series)

I tried Chorus on plus. WOOF. I can't say I gave it a fair shake or anything. I was just checking it out. I played about 2 hours and I was seeing problems. Right from the start, while I like the slow exploration in a ship, I think it's weird that I have no roll control. What is this about. The dogfighting is a case of you and enemies chasing each other in circles. Not much nuance to the handling of the ship. Visual legibility in fights is frustrating. The enemy ships can be very small on screen and there are trails, effects, shots and even your own ship can get in the way. There are no sim-style hud elements to mitigate this. That was just my impression and I didn't play enough to say it's a bad game, but I know I don't want to play any more.

Hogwarts legacy ps5

Dead space ps3

Both are great! Never got far in dead space but reached chapter 5 tonight. Think I'll get ea pro player due a month to play dead space remaster when I'm done.

Instead of playing Hogwarts Legacy i'm playing Xenonauts and XCom Ufo Defense from 1994.
Anyways tomorrow i will be playing Pharaoh: A new Era
Don't you guys love pure PC only games?

Beat fire emblem engage. Waiting for my copy of hogwarts legacy to arrive. Also tried out the octopath traveler 2 demo. Going from the switch to the ps5 is a big upgrade.

I'm breaking apart from the insides trying to figure out, Chaosgate - Daemonhunters, Teardown, DMC5, Hogwarts, a newgame+ on Triangle Strat or a Space Exploration save I have going with my friends on Factorio.

Burnout Paradise Remastered.

It's decent, mostly playing it for nostalgic reasons. I think my high point of this game is definitely the soundtrack, they got some really great tracks in there.

I've always been more fond of Point of Impact but this is a fun game as well.

I'm currently playing Hogwarts Legacy and Fire Emblem: Engage. Once I finish one of them I'll go back to Marvel Midnight Suns, which is also pretty fun.

Patiently waiting for Atomic Heart to release while I finish up Blasphemous.

Also tried Wanted: Dead. Cool game that I'd recommend to those that don't mind a jank but fun and unique game. (for like 15$, not full price)

25 Hours into Hogwarts Legacy, the game is absolutely massive with loads to do.

I'm really enjoying the game, even my partner can happily sit and watch me play it for a couple hours at a time (something she never usually does)

She even asks if I'm going to play as she wants to watch :)
