Starfield Constellation Edition will ship only with Digital Code. Base release has disk.

I don't care about physical since I've been all digital for like 5 years but this is ridiculous, why isn't it $50 or $60 then, like Alan Wake 2?

This is a win if you have a PC right? That code allows for play on both Xbox and PC?

Huh...?

Wow that's stupid. You'd think with a release of this caliber you'd wanna give people who collect physical versions what they want, especially when it's $70 minimum. Maybe I'll wait and see if they make a GOTY disc.

Selling "physical" editions with nothing more than a code is such a stupid practice…

Not that I'll be buying this anyway, I'll just play it through GamePass, but still.

Lmao

This is like the worst of both worlds, why release a plastic case with no disc inside? Either make the disc or go fully digital like Alan Wake.

Stop buying plastic that ends up in our oceans. We don't need more plastic. What a fucking waste of resources.
I don't know about you but I'm not stupidly throwing game discs in the ocean.

If for some reason I can't sell a physical game for 5$ or give it to somebody who would appreciate it for free I'll just put it in the recycling bin like the shitload of plastic that comes from food containers. This is the worst excuse against physical ownership of games I've read.

If true, sucks. Still game pass for me but for people who want it, even a blank disc which downloads the game anyway would have been better than just a code.

Tweet was deleted. Hopefully a mistake
If its just the box (code inside), fuck that. I've been caught a few awkward times by Switch games and it pisses me off.

If they meant a collectors edition, then they should have 2 models. Collector's edition with Digital and Physical version. That would suit, or maybe gaming overall needs to remove the game from the boxsets and let the purchaser make their choice.
