Would you like to see another Toy Story world?
or
Which animation/character world you like to see again, or for the first time?

Just picked up KH3 from Walmart for a special sale of $8.75, never played the series even though I found them to be charming. Looking forward to KH4 going by the teaser!

You're starting with 3?

Oh boy.
Even playing the first two games myself, and watching recap videos of all the "side games", I started playing 3 and immediately had no idea what the fuck was happening.

Good luck Mr. PlayStation Mr. PlayStation

Ger ready for Marvel and Star Wars stuff

Please god no.

There's still so many older animated movies they could have covered, but instead we got Tangled, Big Hero 6, and Frozen.

Not bad movies, just not shit I want to see in KH games.

If anything they should start including more FF stuff.

The Toy Story world in KH3 was great.

I wonder if KH4 will only feature more real world designs given the art style in the concept trailer.

What's the timeframe in this? Another 5-6 more years? It felt like it was 15 years since KH3 was teased. I'm prepared for little to no information about this game for another 2 years. Classic Square-ENIX announcements.

I wouldn't mind them going back to some of their older worlds like Nightmare Before Christmas.

Is someone able to explain (or link to an expalantion of) the whole Kingdom Hearts Saga and the different games ?

Why are there games in the series with decimal points and what do they mean?

Which games are the must plays?

Man! an amazing Toy Story world made totally on UE5!

But I'm really sad, cause I'd like to play a true Toy Story game!
Whe Disney Pixar didn't remake that PSONE Toy Story 2 game?

First game: weird shit happens.
Second game: weird shit happens.
Third game: weird shit happens.
Fourth game: weird shit happens.
Fifth game: weird shit happens.
Sixth game: weird shit happens.

That's just a rough overview, but let me know if you need further clarification on any of the above points.

The fact that people have a hard time figuring out the story even after playing the game and watching recaps means its shit and no amount of fanboy drivel around here will prove me wrong.

There's plenty of KH recap videos around.
I commend the people who could hold on to their sanity long enough to make those videos.

The first game was its own thing, and it worked. Then Nomura threw off his mask and everything went all kinds of crazy. We all live in fear of Nomura's final form.

I dunno if there's a must play in the series.
They say KH2 is the greatest action game of all time on the higher difficulty. Me, I can't get the hang of these games to save my life. So I just mash the attack button and rage when I get mauled by everything stronger than the lowest of the mobs.

This is exactly what I was thinking….hopefully poster likes gameplay, even though that is arguably lacking in 3. Also, good luck deciphering those every two minutes of gameplay to a five minute cutscene toward the end of the game for about three hours, especially without having any idea about the story. I've been a die hard fan since the first entry and was irritated and confused asf at that point…so, good luck lol

I loved 1 and 2, so I tried playing 3 but I have no nostalgia for pixar outside of toy story. and ended up just dropping it midway through.

Both the combat and story were very dissapointing.

I don't want to break you, but

Sora is dead. And when an imaginary person die they go to our world, aka real world.

Thats my biggest fear.....I fucking hate Marvel crap.

Disney is so out of touch, it will likely be in the next game.

I say out of touch, as Marvel stuff is nowhere near as big as it used to be, and a lot of the movies have been awful in recent years.

With the new art style, it wouldn't be a huge stretch to get Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Mark Ruffalo's Marvel characters in the game. Like how they did it with Johnny Depp Pirate's character.

If there is a Kingdom Hearts IV I would love worlds based on:

Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Darkwing Duck

Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers

Treasure Planet

The Black Cauldron

The Road to El Dorado

El Dorado is Dreamworks, so it couldn't show up, but the others would be cool.

As lucid of an explanation as you will find on the Internet:

You are absolutely right. I always get the ownership confused between it and Treasure Planet.

Treasure Planet feels like a no brainer to me. Having Sora and friends join Jim Hawkins and the ship's crew and take off on a galactic treasure hunt would make for a great Kingdom Hearts area.

Original disney classic worlds.

Kingdom hearts 3 was a total shit show for me because i didn't know 60% of the worlds it was pushing.

Also let some other developers develop the story in the game.

I love Marvel (although obviously I don't like the latest movies which are really bad), but I don't want it in KH either, and it's not just Marvel, I feel exactly the same with Star Wars.

Kingdom Hearts was about Final Fantasy (yeah it's hard to believe nowadays) and Disney mixed together. It was about the "magical" aspect of Disney, visiting charming classic worlds, and it gave us something really special and fantastic in my opinion.

The thing however now is that I feel like most people don't really understand what made it work so well, and they only see the "Disney" part as a brand. It's not because something is now owned by Disney that it has to be in Kingdom Hearts, that completely goes against the original vibe of the game. If you start adding Marvel (Yeah, I know Big Hero 6 is marvel, before anyone quote me on that) and Star Wars, you're just confirming that you add things in Kingdom Hearts only because you have the rights to it, and not because of any creative coherence / design.
Might as well add Hannah Montana, The Simpsons, Alien, How I Met Your Mother and such then, right? This is all owned by Disney.

I really hate that, and I see most people don't care about this when I see all the requests for different IPs in Kingdom Hearts... Makes me sad :messenger_crying:

I feel like Star Wars is really more likely to happen than Marvel (going by the KH4 teaser too...) but I really don't want it... And I don't even hate Star Wars (although it's hard to LIKE star wars today), it just doesn't have its place in Kingdom Hearts for me.

The world I would like to see the most in Kingdom Hearts is Treasure Planet. I know it will never happen, but it's really a shame, because it would have worked perfectly. Kingdom Hearts III added so many cool traversal mechanics, it would work very well with the aerial world of Treasure Planet (especially if they do the space station crescentia).
I also think that Treasure Planet, if it had been used since KH1 (yes it was too early, I'm just saying if) would have been a perfect lore to explain the travel between different worlds, instead of the lame gummi ship stuff.

Robin Hood would be really cool too if they can get a convincing art style for it.

Even some people are fan of Marvel and Star Wars, they just dont fit with Kingdom Hearts and I have bad feeling they gonna shove Marvel and Star Wars in to this game just because it popular and with that my interest in KH series will go down the drain.

They already had a Three Musketeers world in the 3DS game,i don't think its coming back unless its a small reference

My favourite is Birth By Sleep, because there's multiple times in the story where if the protagonists showed up even 1 minute late, the entirety of Xehanort's plan falls apart and the entire series never happens. It's great writing.

I want them to get away from the Classic Disney stuff a bit and for the love of god please do not use the Nightmare before Christmas again

There isn't a soul in the universe able to explain that. Anyone who says otherwise is just making shit up.

I loved the first game as a teen over 20 years ago....but this shit just does not make ANY sense lol.

I think what a lot of are overlooking is that Sora's not in the regular KH universe anymore. He's in "the real world" or whatever's passing for such in this story. If would kinda kill the point of him being isolated & far away from his home if he just goes to the same old animated Disney worlds as usual. KH4's worlds pretty much have to categorically different from any that have appear before. They have to be Disney properties that would not have appeared before.

Plus he's all live-action looking now. This is not a Sora that you put in 2D animated worlds. No, this looks like a Sora who's going to be hanging around Live action worlds, lots of them.

For all the fans who say Star Wars & Marvel don't belong in KH, Square has essentially addressed that by purposefully creating a new setting where they can.

Also what happened to the Square characters? Barely had them in KH3.
The pragmatic answer is Square realized they can do their own crossovers without having to involve the mouse. Dissidia, Theatrhytham, Record Keeper, World of Final Fantasy, Strangers of Paradise. The increase in direct sequels and remakes. & no paying royalties to Disney for any of it. On the KH side, they've basically replaced FF characters with more originals. Hayner/Pence/Olette effectively took the place of Tidus/Wakka/Selphie as "those 3 friends at home". Diz & his apprentices replaced Leon & company as the faces of Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden. There ain't a need for more FF cameps anymore.

In short, FF & KH "outgrew" eachother.

Yes this is important, the worlds we will see in KH4 will most likely be stuff we've never seen before, because of where sora / the story is now. However, I still don't want Star Wars / Marvel lol The worlds could be fun yeah, but... I still think they would feel off, and also we see Star Wars / Marvel everywhere now, so KH would feel less authentic with these, less original. I just don't want for KH to feel like Fortnite with too much random stuff. Even if it might seem like it's already the case for people looking at it from a distance, KH managed to still feel quite consistent so far.
