Halo TV Show Cancelled On Paramount

Thank God. Halo fans don't deserve to suffer with this awful adaptation anymore. 343i already drags the name of the series bad enough without the help of this crap.

It's pretty wild that Halo is more or less a dead IP. I'm not saying the games are terrible, I only played the first 3. But Halo releases were a cultural event. We still see it with other IPs but somehow MS managed to make their most valuable IP irrelevant. It's a damn shame.
 
A franchise that started with so much valor to the industry become a joke of so much lack of direction. Halo didn't deserve this kind of shit

This series needs to die, and so is the direction of 343
 
They didn't do a good enough pivot and the series costs too much money anyway.

I think only Nintendo exists on their own hill where they made their I.P.'s timeless because they never stopped making them.

A lot of top tier Sony I.P. are lost to time just like top tier MS I.P.
 
Expected, the show sucked.
It's such a shame Halo got such a poor adaption. Even more so now that it feels like the industry has finally figured out how to make decent game adaptations at least somewhat consistently.
 
Should have just followed canon. Easier to do, less stress with scriptwriters mucking up stuff and you don't alienate the fanbase.

There's a reason TLOU got such a terrific reception. Excellence in execution all round. The last two seasons of Game of Thrones shows what happens when writers who think they're better than the source material muck things up.
 
Good, what a let down that shit was, gave the first series a watch and it was pure shit. Thought they might change up for the 2nd but read abit about it and knew it was just more of the same shit plus a scene of some geezers lipsing which I dont remember happening in any of the games. Hopefully someone els can give it ago some day and jist stay true to the source material.
 
I thought it was ok, having never played the games. But it must have had a huge budget and the lore, as shown on the show, wasn't anything special.
 
Good. Don't waste resources on a fucking TV show. Who gives a shit about that.

Make a good video game instead.

Some of the most controversial moments were from George RR Martin's notes he gave them. He knew where he wanted the story to go, he just has severe issues getting it all structured together plus constantly getting distracted with other projects.
 
Good, it was absolutely ass. These showrunners keep destroying everything they touch because they stubbornly refuse to follow the lore and keep trying to do their own retarded things.

With 343i fucking up the Halo games and now Paramount+ killing off the TV show, I think it's safe to say Halo as a franchise is dead.

The Halo Universe is well established and has a ton of expanded content they can draw from, instead they went with this bastardization trash.
 
Honestly as much hate as it got, there were moments in season 2 with the helmet on that it really felt more like Master Chief on screen, than when the helmet came off and we were back to whiny Jimmy Rings. I don't expect the world from the show of course, but would still prefer to see it keep going.
