Tesla reveals Optimus. Personal assistant robot.

BennyBlanco

aka IMurRIVAL69

20-30k estimate from Musk. Seems nightmarish. Can't wait to see reviews.

Cool, so now unskilled workers cannot even get factory jobs. Since they are unskilled they can't get higher paying jobs. I guess they can just die or work in McDonald's (till they release a robot for the food industry).

"Whatever you can think of, it will do"

Will it jack me off, Elon? Can I save energy and get it to give me a quick morning stroke?

cybertruck is a massive L and he should cancel that shit, but this? I dunno, I kinda like it. Im not rich so will never have one, nor will I see one in my country at least in the next 10 years but would be cool to see them walk around eventually. All we need is flying public transport and we fully cyberpunk.

"Reveals Optimus"? Dude Optimus was first revealed at AI Day 2 years ago.

Optimus next-gen hand:

First thoughts immediately after watching.

I wonder when they expect to start selling these.

Until we see what they're really capable of and I guess how long one of these might last, it's impossible to gauge the appeal, imo. Would people prefer one of these or a housekeeper? Will this be cheaper long term?

Is this more or less capable than a Tesla in the software-malfunction-causes-death stakes though?

Presumably these will be theft proof, but this has to be one of the highest value items anyone will ever have in a house. What a status symbol. What a target.

Finally, who the fuck wants to be one of the first people to trust it to babysit their kids as Musk suggests?
