Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Announce Trailer - PC

I wonder if the brazilian chads who were making a PC port out of the insomniac leak had something to do with this.

Not impossible that they just decided to speed things up. Could have been spooked modders would have just leaked a full build early.

Also, is it me, or is the timing of the announcement terrible? Like, hey, we got this super awesome Pro console coming out, but you can also play it on your suped-up PC if you have one.

I think it's strategic. They'll be able to directly compare SM2 with PSSR against the PC version and show the Pro as the superior platform

So Sony will now port games to pc after 1 year? They really want more people to play on pc :messenger_beaming:
I don't think it's so much as that, more like they want to increase their sales and profits from their IPs. It's a viable business move to get more ppl interested in Sony made games, and the PC happens to have the biggest userbase of all.

man some of you have patience! I couldn't wait a year or longer to play these games. Those of you who never played Read Dead Redemption due it never being on PC are different breed.
The advantage in have a library with "infinite" games to play.

I'm about to start this, haven't played GT since PS1, any tips for me starting out so long after my last GT? I also have PSVR 2, is there any reason to not use that all the time?

I'm a pure SP guy, the way I liked playing the old games was getting Gold on all licenses, doing the races with slow/small cars and juicing them up, then moving on to a new car and repeat. For example doing the "Yaris Cup" set of races or whatever it would be called, can you still do that sort of thing in GT7?
I'm hoping I can do something similar even if its not the exact same but I heard the cars can be expensive so I want to make sure I'm not playing it in a totally sub optimal way and wasting my money if the game isn't really the same as the old GTs.

I know about the Café mode, is that what I should be doing to get that old experience? I love the "automotive history" aspect of it, that sounds exactly like what I want from the game.
The café mode is a linear sort of approach to the old career mode yeah. My advice is to just do what the game instructs you until you feel like playing many of the side activities instead. As you say, café mode also very tastefully presents brands and their histories. The game pays its respects to automotive history. It at times almost feels like a history lesson. Sounds like you'll really enjoy the game.

Latest version of the port seems to be 1.5.5. Looks very playable.

I think you're looking at it the wrong way.

The PS5 Pro doesn't need to beat the highest end PCs to make an impression, being comparable to high end PCs is a great look for the PS5 Pro in its self.

In comparison to the GPUs used on Steam, the PS5 Pro is high on the list.

You can do the licences and the cafe and will naturally accumulate worth. Another easy and quick way to make money early is to go through all the circuit experiences. So basically in the race menu select a track and then in the next menu hit circuit experience. This will make sense once you start playing. I have over 350 hours playing this SP only.

I think he was joking...

This will make the perfect game to test the Pro vs PC performance for DF. Hopefully this port uses Direct Storage.

Ask them what? Why their games aren't selling and are being heavily discounted a few months later because of said sales? This isn't that. It's an evergreen title that's still selling along with the other Spider-Man titles.
ass creed sells a ton of copies, they have a bunch of evergreen games as well, yet everyone is shitting on them 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Sony already tasted complete market rejection with Concord. The discourse of TLoU2, Ragnarok, Forbidden West and Spider-Man 2 ain't that hot....this phenomenon happened with the Star wars Sequel trilogy.

if sony keeps doing copy-paste game desing and stories that are meh.... the pendulum is going to swing the other way.

Concord is a totally different thing from the 4 titles you mentioned. What about Helldivers 2 or does that not count since it sold a ton?

that is exactly the point my friend. the desing and story of the sequels i mentioned is getting stale, divised or outright forgettable.

That would be me. I was a wee lil lad when RDR came out. Im now 96 and will wait for it to go a further $5 down a decade before I can play it 😇

All I can say is good luck handling all this loathsome MJ characer and other social brownie moments.

To you and others but those sequels all still sold between 10-15 million minimum without the heavy discounting that occurred during the PS4 era. Concord is a totally different thing that bombed.

I wouldn't be surprised if Spider-Man 3 is released on PS5 & PC at the same time. The Disney trash should be because it's costing all developers a lot.

They should at the very least test this method with Venom.
