I loved banjoo kazooie but sold my n64 to get a playstation at the time, then tooie was announced...ive waited 24 years to play this thing.

This is what I love about gaming right now with the retro/remasters/remakes craze ....getting to play and own all these great games I missed out on back in the day. I just wish Nintendo would let us purchase them instead of forcing us into a subscription! Btw you could have already played B+K2 on Xbox in 4k(60?)

Last time I checked the game was single player with couch coop. Nor do you have to pay $50 yearly for access to it. Rare Replay can be purchased for $10 or less anywhere you buy games. So in this case, other than the *ecosystem* being dead you're getting an overall better product and ownership of said product instead of access to something that can be yanked at the publisher discretion.

Go and play it on your Xbox then.

It's just bonus and honestly £60 a year my niece, 2 nephews, friend, sister (and me) all get to play online with the mario kart dlc without having to buy it for each account and now they get a copy of banjo tooie if they really want. I agree if it's the only thing your interested in the service then seeking out a copy for a one off purchase would probably be better.

The first game is so much better than this one. I loved the first and actually never finished Tooie.

That's pretty much my sentiment as well. I did still enjoy and finish Tooie though. Actually had quite a lot of fun with the multiplayer mode as well from what I can recall.

NSO is truly the worst way to play the games that are available on NSO.

there will probably be issues with it again that good homebrew emulators don't have, like it always seems to be the case.

It's a convenient way for people to play them that might no longer have their original hardware anymore. These were nintendo games it's a no brainer to release them onto the nintendo ecosystem where it has the largest userbase & that userbase enjoys games of this type.

If we are going on about the correct way to play then that would be on N64, the games were designed for that pad specifically something that the switch actually has officially if you want it. Personally i kept all my N64 stuff as i treat games like books and movies you may have finished them but later down the line i like to go back and replay stuff. However i will be trying it out on nso as it's been a long time since i 100% that game, back in the day banjo was up there with mario they were high profile & loved games.

nearly all games had technical issues, some were fixed but usually they are still worse than using Ares or other emulators.
one of the more recent releases, Perfect Dark, has graphical glitches, sub par audio, input lag and issues with the analog inputs for example.

this is why it's a bad way to play them. Nintendo can't match fan made emulators in most of these.

a Bluetooth controller. I wonder which system out there also support Bluetooth controllers and has fans making the controller compatible
