S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has sold 1 million copies

Xbox finally got a W.

Dragon Age devs not pleased. When a game filled with bugs sold more than your game. released on more platforms.

Yes, no game pass on PC. Jesus. Even for you that's dumb.

Most people on PC would rather pay to have permamnet access to their games via Steam or GOG instead of use that POS Windows store/Xbox app, even if it were free.

The Steam numbers for the game haven't come out of thin air.

I'm in the middle of two games that I want to finish first, but after testing the game for a few hours, I can only say congrats. They have cooked up something special there.

Sequels are going to sell and it got carried by PC gamers. Are you trying to say CoD bombed because its on GP day one?

Your original post is gamepass ruined sales. And facts show that it does on xbox.

I'm not saying anything. I'm making fun of those of you that always seem to be very concerned about game pass ruining sales.

Clearly it doesn't.

No game this year has had its hooks in me quite like this one. It's unbelievably addicting and fun to just explore and stumble across stuff. I probably haven't had this much fun with a proper open world game since RDR2.

Well if COD day one on GamePass doesn't do it, nothing will.

You got any proof to back that up champ? Go argue with Mat on how he's wrong.

Steam doesn't matter, only when it fits their narrative.

Damn that's impressive!

Current Benchmarks. Of course it'll only get better.

I've had one pretty bad bug so far, which was fixed by hard resetting my Xbox. Otherwise it's been smooth sailing, one hell of a game.

No big bugs for me on Steam and zero crashes, mostly animation glitches and performance issues.

And the game is solid GOTY material for me. I'm hooked. Maybe I calm down later but right now I'd say it stands between Shadow of the Erdtree and Stalker 2 this year, positively surprised by the challenge and how unique it feels and the open world is great. Geoff should've moved the cut off date for his event.

This is great news! GSC deserves it.

So far I have 25 hours in the game and I'm still loving it. I love every Stalker game (well Clear Sky is mid) though.

I'm sorry you cannot understand what Mat is writing.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Game Pass did a few things in the US... it resulted in a subscription spending boost [..] did not appear to result in massive cannibalization of sales"

But sure, Game Pass is ruining sales amirite?

It's quite funny to see really, meanwhile they're having a go at Steam and it's customers in the flight sim thread. Can't have it both ways.

Sure thing buddy. We all hate Steam, right?

Oh look, it's another Demigod and GHG love-fest on a topic loosely centred around Xbox (but that's all it takes). Fortunately, all I get to see is a response that says 'You are ignoring content from this user' quoting a 'You are ignoring content from this user'.

Saves my sanity, but really fucks up the readability of a thread.

I had a peek, saw the word 'they're' being used as a big wide catch-all, and went back to watching a documentary on anal polyps and fissures which is much more interesting.

I'm glad that through all that ignoring you've managed to join the discussion in a meaningful way.

Sorry about your sanity though.

Well you tell me. Based on the recent flight sim discussions it's abundantly clear that you aren't a fan of the user review system there, to no surprise.

Ahh yes, the good old "You only dislike it, because Microsoft is on the receiving end". So clever. So edgy.

Wish the game would have come out in a better state. I'll wait, still have to play the other games.

Glad for the devs tho. They deserve the success not just for the circumstances they are in, but for making the kind of game they have made. Atmospheric, challenging and true to itself, intead of the Hollywood-esque walkie-talkie shit most AAA games subject the players to nowadays.

About 12h in and no major bugs. Nothing that makes game unplayable, but the atmosphere and quality overall trumps that. So far GOTY for me. But I loved all previous stalkers so maybe I am biased a bit :messenger_beaming:
