It's strange how loud the anger is over game price increases over time, but then somehow basic game controllers creeped into the $70+ range. (And the third-party peripheral market generally died/got locked out, even though with BT/USB we could have a thriving market. Console manufacturers don't want to lose their cut, so instead we have a dormant market where 3rd parties are stuck with generic drivers and unsupported features. )
PS Portal is maybe about right, maybe a little high, for the features it offers but also the features it skipped. If however legitimate competition was allowed (with haptics and proper controller protocols,) that pricepoint would stand out.
(Sorry if this derails the Ultimate Portal Guide thread a bit with a negative post; I like Portal and was wishing for something in this firm factor since Vita or even PSP Remote Play, but I also kind of wish that for $200 the Portal packed just a little more oomph to make it undeniable )
