Seriously I liked Valhalla but you get to a point in the game and you're like that was a nice 10 hour intro, glad to finally get to England.
Hot damn there are too many shire arcs to do. Then you're like dayum, why did they send me to the viking afterlife? Then you're like wtf, why did they send me to a God of War realm.
At last thank fuck I'm back in England. Oh wait, why the fuck am I in Vinland again?
I'm really looking forward to this. So much I'm gonna slow walk my ass round every town.

Only watched the first half. Why is he so shit? He was getting shot off screen for ages and just did nothing? Is this his normal type of game? Can't really gauge much from that.

Against my better judgement I liked the leaks, recent TV spots and bought a copy.
Historical accuracy never even crossed my mind, considering how comical and cheesy (reggiano-parmigiano) Ezio Trilogy was in that regard.

There is huge difference with animation quality. Say what you want about FROM games being "not high tech enough" but they absolutely nail the animation and feel of the combat.

Same I never liked AC's combat system. I actually recently rewatched trailer for new Onimusha game and I liked this Jackie Chan style combat they going for here.
Using environments against the enemies is really neat idea.

AC's combat system isn't really something that carries over 1.1, like what you can do in Shadows is different then what you can do in Valhalla and that is different then the combat in AC 1-3 etc
I think what Ghost, AC, Onimusha, Ronin and Sekrio are all going for are all different enough and all have their place with this type of setting.
That being said, I'm probably buying Ghost 2, Onimusha etc day 1 just the same as I'm buying Shadows day 1, but all for different reasons.
With how massive Elden Ring is, I don't now if we'll get a sequel to Sekiro anytime soon. I agree its combat is amongst the best out of all of those titles, that alone cannot carry it, as it seems outside of its combat, it wasn't able to resonate well with a lot of gamers.
If released during the PS2 era, I actually think it would have been wildly successful

I'll add to that and say that Ubisoft is not From, so expecting the same level of combat and combat animations from AC games is completely unrealistic. Also, there's no other game like Sekiro and probably won't be.
They need to fix hitboxes though and enemies must not have i-frames after deflections or after gettin' stunned.

I checked the marketing banner and there's no indication for Extended RT for Balanced 40 FPS mode, it's clearly slotted only for Fidelity 30 FPS mode there.
