Switch 2 is the easiest day 1 purchase in gaming history ever

Best launch line up ever- in terms of both quality and quantity for first and third party games
-Mario, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Zelda, Metriod, Pokemon, Elden Ring, Hyrule Warriors, Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, Cyberpunk, Yakuza, FromSoft new IP exclusive, Hogwarts, Fortnite, Sonic, Civilization, EA Sports, etc. HOLY ****!

Cheap launch price especially when it will likely be more expensive later on due to the trade war
-$450 is a steal. I'm not waiting to spend more in 2026. Seeing the current events it will cost at least $500 next year and will never have a price drop just like the Switch 1

Will be sold out everywhere and extremely hard to find
- FOMO and hype level is at all time high for any gaming system in history right now. Preordering day will be a national event.

Upgrade to all thousands of Switch 1 games day 1
- Better graphics and frame rates and loading for absolutely free. Bigger and better screen for handheld mode too. There is no better way to play Switch 1 games period.

Really good deal for Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle
- $50 for a AAA game fun for 1000 hours in both single and multiplayer sessions. Remember this discounted bundle deal is time limited, so it's only for the launch period

GameChat will not be free for late adopters
-Will be free to everyone until the end of March 2026, meaning early adopters get a year-long trial to see if the service is for them

Gameshare is the most pro-consumer friendly feature from any gaming dev
-Just own one game and you can play multiplayer with others using Switch 1 or Switch 2, locally or online. No need to own extra copies. Support this feature X100000% now everyone!

I just don't see how any other gaming system can beat this in the future. Nintendo really hit this out of the park!

The Nintendo Switch 2 can be purchased day one if you have a bot ready to refresh and purchase on the sites.
It if you're in a third world country.

I've been sure that it's normal for these releases to break street before official launch break, here where I live it seems to be normal and consoles are very exclusive so way out of compulsive purchase for any person, so I'll be shopping since a couple days before to see if I can catch one

For me it was easy decision, I like majority of Nintendo games and I go where Monolith Soft goes.

But in other hand actually trying pre-order this thing….

Past decade consoles got really good day one purchases if we can do the math

PS4 sold out, Xbox One sold really well, Switch sold like water, PS5 got scalpers and even with this sold, Switch 2 has everything to also do great

Switch 2 would sell out at 600 MSRP if Nintendo had the balls. I can see $1000+ Switch 2 on ebay during the release window/month.

A lot of old games including old-ass games already released for SW1 a part pf a '"launch lineup"? Haven't you played all of those in the last 8 years? Padded list if I ever saw one. I don't remember launch lineups for PS5 and Xbox with such padded lists.

I respect opinion of every person here, OP is totally in the right wanting to buy switch2, its his hard earned money he will have to spend, same with his time playing switch 2 games, kudos to u sir, good luck getting the unit at launch and have plethora of fun playing it :)

To be honest, if you are really into Nintendo games it sort of makes sense.
The Switch never got a price drop and these past few years we've seen more console price increases than drops, so you can no longer assume the system will be cheaper in a couple of years.
And since Nintendo doesn't really do price drops or sales you might as well enjoy the games at launch since you'll have to pay $70-80 for them anyway.

A $450 Switch 2 with a brand new $50 Mario Kart (if you get the bundle) and a brand new $70 Donkey Kong in 2025 is technically better value than a $450 Switch 2 with a 2 years old $80 Mario Kart and a 2 years old $70 Donkey Kong in 2027.

The nintendo fans have been good for a few laughs these past few weeks hahaha. At least this guys not as delusional as the dude who thought mario kart was going to outsell GTA6

I'm with OP on this. I think it's gonna be an awesome launch, and I don't mind the price (of the console) either.

But then again, I get excited over all new console releases. Same thing with the PS5, XSX, Rift 3, etc etc.

I'm just a consumer whore!

Not even close cause while I like Metroid Prime 4, Mario Kart World, and Imprisonment War. It still isn't enough to make me wanna buy it yet so just gonna wait a year or two to see what else comes.

My most anticipated game is by far Metroid Prime 4, but I'm still itching for those Prime 2 and 3 HD remasters or just cheap HD ports like the Pikmin 1+2 collection.

I used to... Not speedrun, but fast run Metroid Prime 2 using all sorts of crazy tricks like walking along the spiderball tracks to get screw attack early. I'm just hoping they don't relegate Metroid Prime 2 to the GameCube classics service. Those games were so good with the Wii controls in the trilogy, so I imagine the mouse controls will be very similar.

The game I'm actually most excited about (aside from MP4) is Path of Radiance on GameCube classics . I know it's cheating, but being able to save every turn to insure none of your units die is gonna be so nice. There's also one specific map where, to beat it the correct way, you need to never even be seen by an enemy. It's not the prettiest game, but the bump in resolution will also be a nice bonus.

The rest is just personal opinion, but those 2 points are straight up lies:

The launch line up is made from Mario Kart World and... that's it. You should ask for more. Bananza is not a launch title (it's releasing more than a month later, so... not on launch).

90% of the games you mentioned have been released for years, and if third party like CP2077 where not on Switch it's because the console was too weak. It's almost like saying "Hey, PS6 is releasing with plenty of day one games!! Look we have *start listing every game released on PS5 that will also run on PS6*.
Guys, you know you can be a fan without being stupid, right? Enjoy the console, but no need to be dishonest. And acting like that, saying Amen to everything, isn't going to convince Nintendo to get its fingers out of its ass.

Have you ever heard of Family Sharing? 6 people in a group, all games of all people in this group are available to play for everyone. The only limit? You can't play the same game at the same time, that's it. Wake me up when Nintendo is doing the same thing.

It's an easy buy for me if I can get my hands on one. Not sure I can since I have registered but only have a year or 2 of NSO in past 8 years and not too much Switch time recently.

The discounted Mario Kart bundle deal will be gone in a year or two. Things are only getting more expensive. Most likely people will have to spend more if they want a Switch 2 after the launch period, especially if they buy Mario Kart World as not part of the bundle.

Switch 2 is the easiest skip for me. Been there day one on any Nintendo console since N64. Not this time. Will probably get it when at least one new Zelda game and one new 3D Mario game has been released.

Launch period games are considered launch games. You can't play Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Banana at the same time, hello? DK coming a month later is a launch title.

It's not family sharing. Gameshare is much better!! With Gameshare you can all play at the same time and that's the whole point. Wake up.

He really still thought the From game is day one. Dude you're gonna have Mario Kart and old games. Calm down. The only way for this to be the best launch ever is if you REALLY love Kart because that's all there is.

It IS tempting to try and get one ASAP because the price stands to increase, the MK bundle will go away even before the deluge of other problems. But I otherwise probably wouldn't get it until later, I dragged my feet on NS1 until November for similar reasons. At least Switch 2 has one big title not on the last system lol

It could be more expensive but it should be better for me to wait and see still even if I do have to end up paying 30 bucks more for Kart cause I might not like anything else after.

Basically right now my hype level for my three most wanted games for it are Prime 4, Kart World, and Imprisoned War but neither of them reach 10/10 hype for me.

Basically its
Kart World - 8/10
Metroid Prime 4 - 8.5/10
Imprisonment War -7/10

The one I really want is whatever the next big AAA Zelda game for me especially with a art style back to the art of Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, or that Wii U tech demo which would easily be a 10/10 full hype

Metroid Prime 5 or the next big Metroid game if it's not Prime which could be anywhere from 8 to 9.5

The next Mario Party game - which could be anywhere from 8 to 9

So I'm waiting to see if those three below would also come out before deciding.

There are no system sellers yet for this...which for me would be mainline 3D Mario or Zelda.

If anything waiting for updated chip model with better battery life/OLED model might make sense.

The console will be very easy to get just like the PS5 pro because of the higher price and games.

Mario kart at $80 or $500 with a bundle isn't going to move this console like the first one.

What ? No. People mainly buy Switches to play Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Super Smash and both Zeldas. Well they still can do this with the much cheaper Switch 1.

Yeah, seems to be why they upped the ante and it's Mario Kart World instead of 9. It's a sincerely new take on the MK formula. While I think it's a legit killer app, I also had thoughts that MK8 could coexist with World because it's just a big pack of maps to pick on a menu and be racing. I'm not sure how much more complexity than that some customers (families with little kids) really want from Mario Kart to begin with, 8 just really filled a need perfectly which is why it got bought so many times.

It's not really an alarm bell just a curiosity at how this game will perform vs 8 once the dust settles. I don't just mean launch aligned, I mean directly against each other.

Edit: to be fair anyone who plays Zelda on a modern TV that a normal person bought at Walmart without caring about tech wishes they had a Switch 2 lol
