There is but I'd recommend giving it a fair shot before you do that. This is probably the most accessible and engaging turn based RPG I've ever played. It's so fun. The real time aspect to the combat where your learning attack patterns to parry and dodge attacks makes this really engaging, it demands your attention as opposed to just giving commands. The QTEs are endless, but I treat them as mini games because the timings are always different depending on the skill.
Then figuring out the most optimal combinations of Pictos to use within the party for max damage output is oddly addictive, I just want to keep engaging in battles.
Just try to learn and understand it, give it an hour or two of real effort and it will pay off. If it doesn't, no worries, you can ease the process to enjoy other aspects of the game.
The QTEs actually take me back to the older Mario & Luigi games on gba. Really fun and nostalgic lol
