RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army — Announcement Trailer

I am sure it will be dual audio. I'm actually surprised that they are doing an English dub at all this game is super niche.
I'll be turning off that too, I'd rather have no VO like the original. Actually not fond of them adding the new SMT demons either, the designs are trash compared to Konekos classic designs.

Neat. I've always heard good things about the Raidou games (plus they look awesome in setting and cast), but they were trapped on the PS2 and hadn't aged well in terms of gameplay.

I'm going to miss the pre-rendered backgrounds, but whatever man everything else looks neat.

Terrible launch date for me because I'm not doing anything but DS2 in June. Will ride oblivion and Elden Ring NR until then. Doom I plan to complete in 1-3 days.

Hopefully I'll still want to play it in July or August.

Guess I missed this part, huh... might have to skip it then. I still have my original copies of both games so whatever.
I think the remaster is worth it. Sure the pre-rendered backgrounds in the original looked neat but the combat sucked ass big time, enough to make me drop the game.

They are reworking the combat for the remaster so I hope it'll be an overall better game.

I'll wait for some feedback about it and watch some videos when it releases to judge. I have no issue with the original, yeah its dated, but its not a difficult game.

Don't trust my feedback, it'll be extremely biased.

It wasn't about the difficulty, combat was just way too jank for me. Heard they really improved it for the sequel, but I never got to try that one.

Yes I know you will be bias lmao, if anything I'm glad more people will be able to play this now because it is a pretty obscure one from the PS2 era and has been locked to that system for a long time now.

Yeah I think the same man. Hope they give the same treatment to Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, more people should give those games a try.

I'm pretty pumped for this, never got to play it. I have the physical arriving next week. Not sure if posted or if people care, but Britta shared a little vid on some swag she got from Sega.

Pre-loaded and ready to go.

I actually have PS2 copies of both of the Raidou games but never got around to finishing either of them so I'm looking forward to playing this one to completion.

Also, I really hope this leads to a Remaster of the second game and to both Digital Devil Saga games.

Can someone explain to me the gameplay loop in this? Like compared to SMtV or persona, what do you do?

It seems like turn based combat? Dungeons? How do demons work? Fusing? Negotiating?

I haven't played it. But the battle system is more of action RPG. You control Raidou and can use your demon to as extra attacks for weakness. I don't know about fusion and negotiation, but you can use your demon to solve cases.

This sounds fun…

I went ahead and pre-ordered on Steam. Green Man Gaming has a good discount.

Hopefully, I will get around to playing it this time.

Which game was the one with all the penis monsters?

You are a detective solving a mistery in 1931 Japan. There's walking around talking to very weird people about weird shit, which I think fits the SMT setting and tone like a glove, and I remember the writing being quite nice.

Action combat. Light and heavy attacks + some special skills with the gun. In the original you had ammo types which I think have been replaced with skills. You can summon up to 2 demons to fight alongside you (only 1 demon in the original game).

Dungeons?
The usual, yeah.
How do demons work? Fusing? Negotiating?
I don't remember being demon negotiation but I could be wrong. There's demon fusion of course, and the demons iirc have an affinity level towards you that unlocks more skills.

Cool thing is that while exploring around you can have one demon summoned, and different demons have a different type of skill for the overworld. They go from flying demons being able to reach places you can't, to reading people's minds and stuff like that. You can play the game while a Jack Frost follows you which I think is a very important detail.

Just got delivered. I just need to beat azuma first. I own the devil summoner 2 on ps2, got the boxed set when it came out.
Never got to buy Devil Summoner 1 RK &S Army as I never seen it in stores by the time I was looking for it back in 2008/2009.

Very curious about this game.

Koei Tecmo needs to take a lesson. So many of their games i won't buy as they stopped English dubs. If Atlus can dub this Koei can dub samurai warriors and its Atelier series. I skipped Ryza series due to that.

How much gooning are you doing that you can't make time for a new Atlus game?

Committed to the art of the fap.
Fuck you lmao. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I'm spending a lot of time working on my shitty indie game, plus I recently bought Stellar Blade and don't like starting a new game until I've finished the current one, otherwise I'll probably drop it forever and never go back.

I always wondered who is making these shitty hentai games.

Let us know which one and we can all steam wishlist it.
