Nintendo Switch 2 |OT| Switch 2 Nintendo, because now we're playing with power

The original Switch did not have an installed screen protector. But pretty sure the OLED model did.
… but this is not a screen protector really. The way Nintendo spell it out it is just a safety mechanism in case you break the screen and you do not want shards of glass / hard plastic go everywhere. Where did you see it called as such?

Now I just need a console to put it on.

I have the same. Already stressed about putting it on, since I'm horrible at it. I know this is an easy system to do it, but still... There's always this one speck of dust.

What to keep on S1 and what to move to S2? Most of us have substantial S1 libraries. For those with mostly digital (such as myself), how are you prioritizing what to transfer to S2 and what to keep on on your S1 at least at the start? Obviously, the enhanced games like Odyssey and 3D World should go on S2. But a lot of the games haven't been listed as improved yet. I also have stepsons that I don't think I want them playing the S2 undocked at the start just to keep it pristine. Those grubby hoodlums can play S1 if they want handheld.

This is assuming I understand the new key card system (which I hate) and have to only allow the game on 1 system at a time.

If I'd play it in handheld mode and it's not something that benefits visually, I'll keep it on my SWOLED. It's going to be on a game by game basis.

Guys, I've asked before but :
I need a soft silicone skin that's A) detachable B) Dockable and C) has a stand cutout.

I've been searching like mad on Amazon and it's an either...or situation since most are hard plastic, or, are a 1-piece affair.

Thanks

Oh shit, i totally forgot to buy a silicone cover. I think i might go with this one. Already bought a case and screen protector.

Edit: nevermind on that one. Its not full silicone and i dont like pc shell. Will just go with this one, no stand cutout but i doubt i'll need it.

picked up the Walmart brand microSD express card earlier this evening, was ~$66 for the 512GB

I figure while it's not going to be quite as fast, it'll last me until there's a good 1TB out there from Sandisk or Samsung (the Lexar one isn't supposed to be as fast)

Lexar one is faster than any of them.

I will have to see how much I payed for mine on Amazon. I think I got ripped off.

I heard that my local GameStop might be getting around 30 extra launch day units. That's pretty good.
Seems stock will be plentiful, but demand also seems higher than they anticipated

Sdxc is the type of sd card I need ? Don't want to get taxed on the official Nintendo Samsung one.

Searching microSD express on amazon Canada the only one that pops up with that name is the official one.

Everything.

Why would you even keep a Switch 1 around? Going to sell mine as soon as I've transferred everything.

That sounds correct to be honest. I just always thought it was some kind of screen protector after Nintendo had issues with the original dock scratching the screen. Although I never had any issues with that at all.

Still looks like shit, but at least it runs well!
The art style still looks dated, but the visuals are far cleaner and it seems to run at a pretty solid 60 fps.. Not that the target market for this cares in the slightest. But it's still great that this has been upgraded.

It's not.
You can compare the specs for yourself.
It's so close you will never notice.

The Lexar has a read speed of up to 900 MB/s and a write speed of up to 600 MB/s

The SanDisc has a read speed of up to 880 MB/s and a write speed of up to 650 MB/s

Difference is like hair and fur as both will do the job fine.
