Has anybody got their Switch 2 to recognize 1440p as being an option on a TV? I have a LG C2 and it's greyed out so I was just curious.
I also can't seem to get my 8bitdo controller to connect at all. I have the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth (older one without the extra bumpers) and it just shows as connected to something but the Switch will never see it even when I put it into pairing mode. While I love the new Pro controller I'd really rather not spend the $77 (used 15% off at target).

Yeah I have something similar left and I have BOTW, TOTK, all of the classic consoles, Pikmin 4, Platoon 3, and like 5-10 other things downloaded and I'm fine. I don't think I'll ever really need to get one as it's rare that I would have this much stuff downloaded at a time normally.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Lots of people are reporting connectivity issues with the 8bitdo controllers. Hopefully they can release a firmware update for the controllers to make them compatible.

RDR 2 for sure since they ported RDR 1 on the Switch 1. Gta 5 will be dead and buried in ~350 days so Rockstar wont bother.

BotW and TotK have increased draw distances, but nobody has reported on it. You could see it already in the Treehouse comparisons. Even Oliver from DF missed it.

Got my console this morning with the new pro contraller and Mario kart world. The console is so premium and those joycons are very solid. The screen is awesome imho and does not feel any worse than the OLED. I have been downloadng all my software and having a blast with Mario Kart World all day.. It looks so sweet in HDR.
Except of course as someone who had a 1.5TB full as card on my switch the switch 2 has ALL the games set to download - no download queue and will have to individually cancel the downloads, I set the games I actually want installed to "download first" and managed Mario kart world, welcome tour, deltarune, fast racing (whatever its really called) ridge racer and was still downloading split fiction with Yakuza 0 being next followed by the Zeldas... played a bit of cyberpunk in the bathroom and was pleased that when I linker to my cd projectred login the cloud save cross progression was available and bonus extras which was nice but paused my downloads so stopped playing and went shopping and heading back to see where it is..

I know I am in the minority maybe, but I never put screen protectors on any devices, phones, Deck, Switch anything. I am extra careful. But yeah, team no protectors here on anything.

It depends on the quality of the projector as there is such a wide range. If you are using the JVC or Sony 4K models everything looks pretty sweet.

Ah okay. I have a month to return the Pro controller so maybe it will get fixed soon. I have a OG pro controller around here somewhere but I couldn't find it when I got home last night.
My code was without the scratch thingy...
But it worked nonetheless

Just booted mine up. I'm doing the transfer now. The console feels GREAT and I really like the new Joy Cons so far.
But man, when it boots up on that black screen with the Nintendo logo, you can really see how much different the LCD is from the OLED Switch. Off to a bad start on that front. I'm cautiously optimistic about how things will look in-game.
I'm also quite surprised by how no-bigger the console feels. I expected it to seem much bigger in my hands and carrying it around, but even after just five minutes, it feels normal.

So, I loaded up Sammy in endless mode and selected the mode where picking up money bags gives you cash when killing enemies. For those of you that don't know, this is like a surefire way to lag the system, because your character will level up thousands of times pretty quickly, making your weapons and whatnot fill the screen.
The results were pretty impressive! I only had some minor slowdown, and only around level 900 and by then there was so much happening on the screen it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Game is like cocaine. Played it on the Deck and it's a perfect handheld game

I played last night. Or watched my kid play. MKW was awesome. OPen world seems absolutely seamless. BR mode online is bonkers. They really add a ton of new stuff. I hadn't watched any previews.
Controllers satisfying click in and release. Sticks are bigger. Haven't tried in handheld mode.
Nice touch to go thru simple introductory tutorial while the launch day update happens.
Mouse works good. Should make for some cool new games and make some pc gaming ports great on S2.

So... I got my GameCube controller today and not my Switch - I wont get it until after I leave the country so enjoy friends, I'll get to it on the 17th. But what I can tell being an OG GC owner is that the controller feel just the same as it did 23 years ago.. and it's still the best controller ever.

I'm able to play Street Fighter 6 at 120Hz while keeping the resolution at 4K on the Switch settings screen in docked mode.
Yet the switch settings screen says that for 120Hz, the Switch must be set to 1080p or 1440p.
So confused.
