holy mother of blasphemy.Yeah, if it wasn't for UE5 this gen would be a disaster tech wise.
In-game, the original delivered with its graphics.holy shit, atomic heart 2 looks INSANE
ue 5 game
DAMN
was that in game footage or prerender stuff?
holy mother of blasphemy.
Perhaps they would make good custom engines and not this ue5 slop
...Are we deadass? That's the best RE(X) engine can do in whooping 2026?
RE9 looking like another upgraded PS4 title.
Doesn't come remotely close to even DS2, and some people already find that disappointing.I think it looks good enough, so much better than other recent RE engine games...
It even looks real time, you can see denoiser ghosting when officer picks up papers from desk.
They always didYou're straight up delusional if you think devs would just make their own custom engines if UE5 didn't exist. Even the devs that do use their own engines are not achieving great results, just look at the new RE game.

Huh? I think it's quite comparable to DS2.
Literally above me.Weird they would leave obvious hair clipping in close up like this

I already see it in many ways, though I have to say... This trailer was weird because it seemed to be shot in two separate planes (might be intentional?), I am deeply confused by it watching it again.Outside of character models and Kojima cinematography main graphics of DS2 is not that impressive. We don't know how gameplay of RE9 looks like exactly (only few potential fragments in trailer) but I don't see any big difference between overall gfx quality of those two games.
I cant believe Sony is spending resources on a 2D GOW game. I just cant.
I dont care if it took like 20 people to make that game. Put those 20 people towards a real game.
It was always good... Just needed better performance (which will allow even better visuals by proxy). Most of my showcases played this gen have been UE5 games.Rewatched ILL trailer again. UE5 is heading full steam into a redemption arc.
This happens every time they release a new iteration on their engine, they show off some crazy looking tech demo and everyone is awestruck at the Fidelity. Then it takes about 5 or 6 years before any games show up that remotely resemble itRewatched ILL trailer again. UE5 is heading full steam into a redemption arc.

Distant detail looks poor. Shadows just fall off beyond the city limits and texture tiling on display in the year of our lord 2025.
My man feels like, I've never seen you express anything but disappointment.Just want to express some more disappointment.
The game is supposed to be fully open world. You may not see that particular Birds Eye view but you will definitely see the horizon in this game.??
This is not Assassin's creed or GTA - you won't be able to see stuff like this in gameplay. This shot was created for a cutscene.

We'll see how it ultimately pans out. RE8 ran incredibly well, despite its map size, although it wasn't a sprawling open world, of course. I'll be rather surprised if a modern RE title runs poorly.Hmm, trailer suggested something linear to me.
Open world + RE engine is a BAD combination.
Between the State of Play and Gamesfest, it is amazing how good smaller AA games are looking
All the other 'leaks' on this game were completely false and the trailer made it seem like a heavily story driven linear game, doubt you ever make it that far on foot. The game is supposed to be fully open world. Best looking game shown this week
I personally agree with you but I don't think this thread will.
