I'll buy it, but only in the hope they'll get enough sales to remaster Garden Warfare.

I liked this game on the 3DS. Are there new features? My kids would probably enjoy it too. At $20 it'd be a fun impulse buy.

I own the original on PC and it looks fine so I have no reason to get this, but I'm not against a new generation getting to experience a fun game.

I'm down with this, I've always loved PVZ. Hell, Garden Warfare 1 & 2 were REALLY good and extremely underrated. Probably the best team / class FPS I've played since TF2. I'd love to see a sequel some day.

Split Fiction is a 90 on MC and sold 4M units in two months, lmao.
i didnt say that they are doing bad finacial, i said that they are killing their brand, EA for years its one of the worst game companies out there in the eyes of gamers, you said that SF was a success and i agree, but how abou we talk about DAV ? or NFS ?? Mass Effect ???

Yeah, I do not care. I said that they are putting out good stuff this year, and they have proved it so far.

For me this is one of those games that is best on a cell phone to pass some time

Works great on it and no idea how or why I would play this on a TV or PC monitor

now you dont care ? the only good they made this year is split fiction, everything else was mediocre at best
Like...?
You also seem to be a bit confused with my words. Chill, no need to act like that over any positive comment regarding EA.

I started replaying this on iPhone last year, but they "updated" the game so that you get hit with a bunch of ads between each level. It's so annoying.

I'll be super happy to just pay 20 bones and replay this the way God intended.

Were there any additional features or improvements etc to the original besides visual?

In the iPhone version? None at all. When I say it was "updated", what I mean is that they added forced ads to a game that previously had none. A real dick move. It's just the exact old game, only worse.

This new Replanted version for Switch has updated assets, and I would assume some gameplay stuff too.

Just buy it on PC for insane resolution jump and apply texture and skin mods. Or make em yourself. EA is trash.

A remaster would boost the player base. I doubt many people are playing it now and AFAIK, you can't create custom servers with bots.

Check out the Developer Overview Trailer for Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, an upcoming remaster of the original Plants vs. Zombies game developed by PopCap Games and The Lost Pixels. I thought it wasn't possible to fuck up a Plants vs Zombies remaster but it looks like EA managed to do it. Not working with the OG team is a shame and just inventing early sketches is really shady.

To think I almost preordered. I love the original game to death but no way I'm shelling out $20 for some buggy Unity slop.
Guess my PS3 physical copy isn't obsolete after all.

Playing on PS5 and haven't had any issues. While I absolutely love this game, it is better on an iPad. This game is made for touch screens. I've discovered a few secrets not in the original.

I refunded it. Was a bit pricey for my tastes, but I was curious how it looked, more specifically in 32:9. Sadly, the game itself is still 16:9, but it has static artwork on either side which was hughly disappointing as I had checked if it supported ultrawide first and all signs pointed to yes.

Gameplay was grand and the art looked fine to me, no issue with that in terms of A.I, but was needing to be very impressed if I was to keep it as I was already unhappy paying £18 for it. Probably get it when it's a whole lot cheaper or part of a bundle.

Plants Vs. Zombies Replanted brings the original game back into the spotlight on current-gen platforms. But does it manage to recapture the charm and quirky elements that put the title on the map in the first place? We dive into the game and explore how its latest avatar manages to sustain the challenge and entertainment from the original title.

Replanted is certainly a solid effort, and does very well to avoid reinventing the wheel while managing to carry over the original game's controls to a new format. This one's a lot of fun, and a great option for some casual gaming after a long day. You're sure to like it if you were a fan of the original release and even if you're an absolute newbie to its tower defense gameplay loop.

The iconic backyard battles you remember, made better than ever!
