I did the same, it's all out now and a second season has been green-lit.Was going to give it a go once the seasons done so I can binge it.
I can think of a handful of horror films that are 10/10. No remake or changes could make them better.I hope you understand what I'm getting at. IF you pressed me for films that my aforementioned reasoning befit a 10/10 for both subjective and objective level, well that list is extremely short.
I hate that I went into this movie with high expectations based on the raving reviews. It was entertaining, but nothing more than that.Another thing I hated about Weapons
Some of the houses had cameras but I guess none of houses on the block of the house they ran to had cameras because if they did they would have found them easily.
It was just so campy and the whole town just going about their business.I hate that I went into this movie with high expectations based on the raving reviews. It was entertaining, but nothing more than that.
People had also hyped up the ending as something special and I was like "that's it?" I can't even begin to describe how bored I got once it was revealed she was a witch.

I watched Videodrome last night. Mad film.
Yes, its very good.
Yes, its very good.
Didn't realise at the time of watching that they are married in real life but it really shows on screen.Watched it last night and thought it was excellent.

well... just back from Conjuring last rites
Sadly it didn't quite hit the mark for me. After how good Weapons and Bring her back were this felt incredibly run of the mill and tired.
Jesus christ I regret my decision to watch this from the backlog.
I didn't know all that much about it outside of people saying it was very disturbing but not in a good way. They were not fucking kidding
I feel like I need to bleech my eyeballs.

absolutely terrible. It's not even good in a 'so bad it's good' way, it's just pure gratuitous trash.
There's no snuff type parts in it but it's very dark, especially the ending. It's not for everyone, myself included, and the subject matter is very much not for the faint of heart. From what I remember there isn't really any story as such beyond what's essentially a very basic premise and it used shock factor scenes instead of actually being good in order to get people talking about it.I really like the first two Conjuring films. Third one is alright. Disappointing to hear this one isn't very good.
I haven't seen this. I watched Cannibal Holocaust and I noped out after the turtle bit. Is this worse?

I'll give it a miss then! Defintiely not my type of horror. There's no snuff type parts in it but it's very dark, especially the ending. A baby? Yeah, that's a no then.it's fucking infinitely worse.
I dont even want to describe a particular scene that is in it, lets just say a newborn baby is involved.
Voted 80s
But I am counting 1979 (Alien) and 1991 (Silence of the Lambs) as the start and end of 80s
Main character really channeled his inner Hayden Christensen. I had to look up whether or not he was his little brother.Anyone else watching The Institute?

I really enjoyed Barbarian, haven't gotten around to Together. Weapons was overhyped. It was serviceable at best imoSaw barbarian the other night and loved it because I was able to avoid spoilers. Next up for me is together and then weapons when it hits digital.

I loved Amulet flew under the radar of most people. Bring Her Back best horror movie in forever imo. Didn't watch 28 years later. I really enjoyed Companion even though it wasn't really horror I'd give it 3 or 3.5 out of 5watched
amulet 4/5
megan2 2.5/5 (THIS IS NOT HORROR)
bring her back 5/5
companion 2/5
28 years later 4/5
Ads for this were all over the horror film/fangoria mags I used to read as a kid. Must have passed by it a thousand times in vhs rental stores, not sure if I've ever seen it though.I think it probably falls into the category of "spooky thriller" rather than horror, but I enjoyed McTiernan's "Nomads".

Although I would recommend a DVD or legitimate VOD, I'm pretty sure this one is available for free on Youtube. I haven't looked at it, so I can't say whether or not it's been edited. Amazon in particular has a deep library (that MGM catalogue I guess?) of 'classic' 70's/80's horror titles, whenever I get a few free nights with the wife/kids away, it's time to crack a few beers, get some pizza, and live largeAlthough I would recommend a DVD or legitimate VOD, I'm pretty sure this one is available for free on Youtube. The twist?
Giant, intelligent bugs live underground. They somehow lure kids to a hole and use their bodies to infiltrate the families. For what reason? I don't know. I believe it was global domination but the impact was so small-scale it seemed like a flawed plan. All I know is they wanted to breed with the strong independent woman that couldn't breed but she ran them over with a truck. Fin. 2/10
Weapons is out on streaming next week if anyone was hanging on for a home release.
I really enjoyed Creep but never got around to watching the sequel maybe somedayI really loved Creep and Creep 2 - it was a perfect use of found footage and Mark Duplass was absolutely nailing the creepy psychopath persona, oozing with uneasiness.
I've just read that 7 years later he also shot a miniseries - The Creep Tapes. Gonna watch today!
