Obviously both are fantastic movies that scratch different itches, but which do you think is better?
Seven was the shit when I was a teen. Edgy, dark, and violent.
I haven't actually seen Shawshank all the way through, but I bet nowadays I'd prefer it's message of hope over Seven's nihilistic one.
Denzel '' Boca Floja'' Washington
Shawkshank and it's not particularly close. My only niggle with the movie is it should have ended when Red finds the buried care package that Andy left behind.
No it's should of ended with red walking on the beach, seeing andy and playing a note on his harmonica, and Andy turn lifting his head
This would of made the movie come full circle, proving Andy right, that hope is a good thing, and red finally had his back
No, it didn't need to be spelled out and is made even worse with how low quality the footage is.
I don't disagree with you, it did force the ending too much![]()
My bad. It just feels like a studio note like with the intro to Predator but with the added bonus of looking terrible, like they zoomed in some b-roll at the last minute.
Hmmm I've never thought about predator, but now you mention it, again I agree it didn't need that intro at all, apart from showing the film title.
Se7en had a hell of a plot twist at the end. I loved it.
