Dash Cam eval for cars!

Recently, I did a bunch of research on dash cameras and after all that, ended up getting one. So I thought I'd try my hand at a video review for the first time. If you're curious or wanting a dash camera for your vehicle check this out and see if it helps you at all!

Edit-
I just found out that from the manufacturer you can get this now for a "30% discount," which is less than the Amazon price. So just FYI!
VC70 is currently 30% off

Cool video and you covered a ton of stuff I wouldn't have thought of when considering it, a few follow up questions:

1) Have you watched more of your driving videos? Do you like the stability of the camera recording the faster you travel/rougher roads you travel on?
2) Have you had any issues at night/not driving when the car is parked? How quickly does it capture that type of footage?
3) Great tip on the electrostatic sticker btw.
4) Holy shit...I have the same USB port on my mirror...never thought to check that.
5) Final question, do you have to use Wifi/mobile service to activate or use the camera at all?

Dash cams are 100% worth the relatively small cost. Get a front and rear one, as high a resolution and frame rate as you can to catch those plates. Doesn't the tesla have 360 degree cameras built in? Everyone will soon enough.

Whether or not you bother with the continuous power wiring for parking monitoring kinda depends on where you park your car.

1- I haven't had any SUPER bumpy roads to travel and I'm not offloading in a Mustang. However, just normal freeway and road construction, etc...the stability is just fine. That mount is REALLY firm and I had wondered if it would stand up to the heat. It did.
2. No issues that I've had. It did activate once when a cat jumped onto the roof of the car apparently. Caught the tail end disappearing down the front windshield. :)
3. Yeah, that sticker. It's a little tough, at least for me, to get it on really smooth and with no bubbles or wrinkles but bottom line, it's there to protect your windshield from adhesive. I found it doesn't have to be perfect. As long as you're good with it, it's good.
4. I know! I don't know how common that is, but it's a really good idea for the car manufacturers!
5. You need nothing to activate the camera. If you want to download the app and connect to and control the camera from your phone, you need to connect over wifi. But the camera has its own wifi network it broadcasts and you connect to. It's wifi 6 so transferring files from camera to phone is QUICK.

Hope that helps!
