I recently found mine again after being in storage for a longg time , last game I was playing was Radiant Historia , I might start a new file , RH is a great game.

I do have but haven't used it for the longest time; my 3DS largely supplanted it.

Still, the DS Lite is an amazing handheld when it comes to carrying the thing.

Sadly, no. I lend it and upon returnal one screen didn't work anymore. Lesson learned.

Got a 2DS instead. Works fine but it's kinda flimsy.

Not as much, but I still use my various DS and 3DSes. The only thing that's really changed are my aging hands.

Playing Prime Hunters never was a problem, but when I went back to it this year, my hands cramped immediately. It's rough.

Yup still have a bunch of them and still play the libraary of games regularly. Most recently replayed Keroro RPG i have curated over many years a library of some of the best, weirdest & obscure stuff on the system. After the switch it's my 2nd favourite library of games on a nintendo system the sheer volume of games is crazy.

Boom DS for days

Still have my DSi. I barely use it these days, but it remains my system of choice for DS and DSiWare games, which look awful on my 3DS XL (too blurry or too small in pixel perfect mode).

I got rid of my DS when the 3DS came out because it was backwards compatible.

I still have a couple of 3DS systems but never use them because emulation is so easy and generally the better way to play most of those games now.

Yes.

It's kinda of old and because of it it's abit damage, but still plays. I have a DSi and often think it wasn't the smart choice because that version uses some type of different fiber covering the DS.
I play it often to remember great games I had.

I switched over to 3DS left the DS behind since there's backward compatibility. There are still a few games I haven't played or completed yet that aren't available elsewhere like that Ganbare Goemon game from years ago, Wayforward's Thor and NSMB2. I mostly played 2d games on the handhelds.

I dug out my original model DS recently in honor of it being almost 20 years since I got and the screens are all messed up, would replacing the battery fix it or is this just because it hadn't been used in probably 16 years?

I still have a DS lite but never use it. I love some games that are pretty much the final 2D sprite based games ever made but the 3D ones have never clicked with me. Never cared for the stylus, dual screens and the ergonomics are atrocious with the small, hard buttons. The original GBA is so much better but I never get rid of consoles that still have some great exclusives that I might want to play again one day.

I have multiple ds's and 3ds's but since the dual screen attachment came out for the retroid pocket 5 I've been using that instead.

I love the DS and 3DS, I wish they'd come out with another iteration of a dual screen handheld.

Just less than a month ago I checked every DS game I had to see if they were still working, plus to check how long I've advanced in those games. My original DS has its screen completely scratched, I bought a DSi with a stiff shoulder which I need to fix so I might get a third DS if I can't fix that one.

Still have it yes, a LL DSi model from Japan. As well as a 3DS XL. These are my favorite handhelds, with my RG406H, which is just an emulation machine (but it does it perfectly, and has a very comfortable grip) that I use for Game Gear/GBA and also a bit of GB/GBC.

Shame the west never got this RPG it's hillarious, it uses the LMBS battle system from the tales of series. An action RPG where you get sucked into an alien games console and basically play a traditional RPG where you are fully self aware your in one and breaking the 4th wall constantly. Add in that you battle using cosplay and summoning namco characters as special moves & it's a riot from start to finish probably my favourite Keroro gunso game on the system. Been a while since i last played it but recently got back into it the DS is filled with these types of gems.

Yes, I have a white DS Lite that I keep in the box. And I have a blue DSi XL, which is the one I use.

I play Brain Age a lot on it. Sometimes I play Castlevania and Nintendogs too.

I've been playing the shit out of Picross 3D for several months now. Randomly picking it up for a couple of puzzles a night. Might be the system I play the most right now because of it. One of the best rootable, handheld devices out there.

Played Castlevania on my lite just recently.
Still the most attractive hardware Nintendo ever released. Like an Apple product back in the days.

I still have the hardware, but these days I prefer emulation on a dual-screen device. OLED, better resolution, retro achievements, etc. all make for a better experience than the original hardware these days.

I have been eying Thor and the other devices, but I have a hard time justifying $500+ it will cost after shipping and tariffs.

I've still got a sealed first print copy of ganbare goemon, must open it someday and give it a go.

Thor is amazing on the ds, cheap game, grab it while it's cheap

Still have my launch fat boy DS, but haven't played it in years. My N3DSXL does the trick for that these days, but I honestly haven't played a DS or DSi game in forever now. Just 3DS games and injected VC romhacks.

I honestly only ever kept it around for the GBA slot, but Steam Deck has pretty much taken that job too.

Should probably sell it.

Yes and DS lite is the best way to play GBA games.

Reminder that Wario Ware Twisted is still only playable on either GBA or DS (until lite model). And the best screen is DS lite.

I got Thor years ago but haven't got round to playing it through properly yet.
Goemon is good but I got hopelessly stuck part way through quite a few years ago and haven't tried again since. I used a translation guide back then but was still stuck.
I've been learning Japanese but it'll be a long time before my level's good enough to help.
