Netflix Also Considering Buying Warners

That's Netflix, Paramount and Sony vying to buy Warners. I doubt Sony can compete against Netflix's coffers.

Article:
Today, a new report at Puck is claiming that Netflix is one of several companies weighing a potential bid to buy Warner Bros. Pictures and its assets.

Stirring the pot on this report is that Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos and WB's David Zaslav were seen together at a sporting event this past weekend.

Unlike the Paramount bid, it's presumed the Netflix bid would be for the 'Streaming & Studios' half of the company after the upcoming split.

No details on the exact bid or how serious it is have been reported. Warner has a market cap of $33 billion, but the Paramount/Skydance bid comes from Oracle founder Larry Ellison, who has an estimated net worth of $393 billion.

No official deals with any company are in place as at present.

I can't wait for their new take on Batman as an ex member of Antifa.
You just KNOW there is gonna be a scene in the upcoming The Batman where bats stops a cop about to do a random stop and search of some POC kid. They are gonna be desperate to reframe Batman as anything but a more violent form of police.

Get ready. It's going to happen

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure Sony has more cash on hand and a larger annual revenue than Netflix.

I hope not. This current FCC would probably allow monopolies to exist (yes, I know we have technical monopolies already)

We need healthy competition in the entertainment industry. Warner Bros is having a great year with banger after banger and one of these other studios buying them would be bad for movie goers.

Would it still be a monopoly if netflix was the new owner? Do they currently even own any studios or do they just pay other people to make their stuff for them?

Netflix may have bidding remorse and grated a waiver to Paramount.

I see folks quote polymarket like it is some sort of valid predictor of future events. Isn't it just randoms making guesses? Is there some sort of authority system in place giving polymarket more accuracy or weight (i.e. the chart above is just stock insiders making bets or something).

I was just using it to demonstrate what initially looked down like a locked down Netflix deal seems to be fading. It is what popped up in the feed. But your analysis of Polymarket is accurate. They don't know. It is just degenerates guessing .

As much as I hate that enormous piece of shit Larry Ellison, it's obvious that Paramount is a far better deal, everything Netflix touches turns into generic, woke trash, only the morons who "watch" shows and movies with their phones stuck on their stupid faces like Netflix slop
