in jez we mistrust...
It is dramatically different. Whenever Jez speaks about the industry and particularly Xbox related there are pages and pages of derision, often attacks on him personally and professionally. Given the context of that excessive hate, no my pointing out that Sneakers isn't always correct is not remotely in the same league.
Any mistakes from Jez are highlighted and reposted endlessly because of his strong links to the Xbox brand and senior staff. If Sneakers were making more positive claims about Xbox and its future you better believe his credibility would be strongly challenged on this forum.
Both worded it in a way they can't be wrong, except for timdong who continues to be an embarassment
He certainly is titanic, dude has bigger tits than my wifetitan of an industry insider like Jez Corden
So that's how they compensate him.He certainly is titanic, dude has bigger tits than my wife

UPDATE (Oct 5, 2025): Microsoft has provided the following statement, echoing our previous report: "We are actively investing in our future first-party consoles and devices designed, engineered and built by Xbox. For more details, the community can revisit our agreement announcement with AMD."
Xbox will survive confirmedUPDATE FROM MICROSOFT
Future first party consoles reconfirmed by Microsoft.

Surely this is a joke right, right??People are free to discuss as they wish but when a titan of an industry insider like Jez Corden informs us that MS have no plans to cancel any upcoming Xbox hardware it is incumbent on all of us to listen.
Obviously some people will have their own motivations to cast aspersions on Jez's credibility. But for now anyone who is eagerly anticipating exciting next generation Xbox hardware can rest easily.

No, Xbox's next gen console hardware plans aren't cancelled — for now (UPDATE: Microsoft responds)
Rumors are swirling that Xbox is going to kill its hardware ecosystem. It's not true ... for now, but it easily could've been true, given how nonsensically Xbox acts lately.www.windowscentral.com
In light of the @SneakersSO rumors about the validity of the next Xbox. The successor the Series X, Xbox "Melrose" is still slated for 2027.
Jez is also currently investigating rumors of an Xbox OEM PC launching in 2026.
@SneakersSO Any comments on Jez's words?
J leading the way with some proper journalism. If only more people in the industry followed his lead. Rumours, gossip innuendo- no. There's no replacement for asking tough searching questions to trusted sources.
Frankly, there's nothing more to discuss here.
Jesus Christ dude, I get that you Xbox fanboys gotta try to stick together but take the dudes dick out of your mouth for a moment.Because he is incredibly well connected, trusted and hugely respected both in and outside of Xbox? Perhaps for those reasons?
Yeah, nobody plans to cancel anything that they've spent time and money on. You always have some sort of worst case scenario in mind like you said but you never plan on it going so badly you have to just cancel it.Who plans to cancel something like hardware? Either you do, or you don't.
Anyone doing up hardware would have some kind of exit strategy but that's different than cancelation
It's not just Xbox but Microsoft in general. Microsoft is a terrible company and always has been and lying about shit is just the beginning of it.It's not like Xbox lie about their plans, right?
Right?

Actually wait. I believe him. Just look at him. 100% trustworthy face there.
Not really, there's a reason the examples you gave are all from 30+ years ago. SoC development can cost up to a billion nowadays, even a massive company like Microsoft is not going to throw that away for no reason. Also, completed SOCs can 100% be cancelled right before release. So can entire system designs. The Amiga CD32's American launch was cancelled when systems got held up in some other country and the company had to file for bankruptcy. SEGA cancelled the Neptune even though the design was complete and ready to go into mass manufacturing. The Atari Panther was cancelled even though its design was complete and ready to launch, simply to push the Jaguar instead. The Jaguar 2 was cancelled even though prototype systems of the completed spec were made. The Panasonic M2 was cancelled even though system designs were complete and some early models were already made (plus Konami making an arcade board based off of it).
