People are criticizing SIlent hill F mod that makes the main character Hinako more pretty,

The "More Kawaii Hinako"is one of the most popular on Nexus Mod, with over 4,700 downloads. According to the mod's description, its goal is to "adjust the model to achieve better facial symmetry, soften the jawline, and slightly shorten the chin," which has generated strong negative reactions on social media.

One player pinned the blame on Hinako's "modelling optimisation" (a roundabout way of saying the 14-year-old isn't attractive enough) on "Western market censorship", while others went as far as to say these tweaks "saved the game" because her "face is certainly prettier". Some, however, argue that it hasn't gone far enough, calling on the creator to "refine her nose a bit more" and even "make the jaw a bit smaller".

Pure nonsense... I like Silent Hill f... And Hinako is very cute, and so are the main characters.

That and the atmosphere... I give Konami a 10.

Looks fine either way, just a person. Zero reason to go after mods, are you beating up kids who doodle their favorite characters slightly different to how they really are as well or what? But also zero reason to push it as better. Just ignore it or use it, whatever.

She's 14? I figured she was like 18 or something given how damn powerful she is.
In any case, her face is literally just the actresses who is like 26 years old, and that mod sucks anyway because I can't tell the damn difference.

is 4000 downloads suppose to be a lot? don't really follow mod culture, so like .001 of mod players downloaded it or something?

Can't tell a difference from the pictures, is it an attempt at making them look more western or something? Seems like a nothing burger mod and nothing burger article.
 
There are spoilers in regards to the character's real age so it's difficult to discuss. Some have already posted it.

Some pathetic responses in this thread. Who cares if somebody wants to mod a character's face? I don't even own the game and I think the left just looks more like a real human.

It was a little insensitive on my part, I forgot the game is still relatively new. I blast through games I like. 🤷‍♂️
 
I barely see any difference, and the character already looks older. And btw, don't a lot of western movies and shows (specially americans) use men and women in their 20s or in legal age at least for underaged characters? If we see any of them cute or hot, we have to feel guilty about that too? So why do I should care or being upset about this silly mod or a digital character being "cute"? Boredom? Just because we play videogames doesn't mean we can't have a little of common sense. I mean, demonizing real people for such small things and acting like a rabid defender with a fictional one...feels a little weird. If it's because the actress for motion capture, people usually separate them from the fictional character and they even don't look exactly the same either most of the time. So yeah, again, why do I should care about a silly mod like this?

The writer of this article is most likely trying to pressure Nexusmods staff into removing certain mods from the game's mod section. The comment sections for these type of mods are always infested with a minority of users leaving odd hate comments. It's definitely not because the character is a "minor" either, I've seen the very same sentiments posted within the comment sections of face edit mods for REmake4 Ashley, Monster Hunter Wilds and Horizon Zero Dawn Aloy(especially). Game modding has been done for years and the majority of the PC player base do not take issue with modifications such as this. It's obviously bad actors, and some idiots, at play.

Plus, the changes are very subtle, it's clear that the blogger is grasping at straws here.
 
The only thing that bothers me about the original design is the nose. It looks like plastic surgery
