Game Pass Price Hikes May only Apply to New Subscriptions in some areas [Update] Price hike only delayed

So, if I buy a 12 month code off loaded.com for like 125 quid for 12 months. That's like better than half price.

Will it work? Anyone tried it?

I got a pop up when I logged into my Windows 11 PC earlier on this week asking if I wanted to re-subscribe to GamePass Ultimate for £13.49 a month! Guess they must be desperate because I cancelled my Ultimate PC subscription back in May 2024 and haven't missed it one bit.

If you want loyalty, buy a dog. This increase is bullshit, man. It could work in a completely closed off environment, but there are many options outside of Xbox.

I have to commend Sony's PS Plus, you actually get to own the games they offer for the sub, and they also don't suddenly go schizoid with pricing.
They are linked to your account, you mean (so yes, you don't 'lose' the game after sub lapses, but you need a sub to be able to play). However, you don't actually own the games, even with Plus, not in the traditional way anyway. So that isn't true. I know you said PS Plus but the PS catalog (outside of day one games) works in a similar way but before this news, not many would acknowledge this haha.

Why don't you try it and let us know?
