How do tell everyone not to bet on your platform without opening telling everyone...
For collection purposes. It's gonna be worth a lot more once Xbox is out of the hardware biz. What game dev in their right mind would be buying an Xbox DK at this stage?
Microsoft's mission to quietly move everyone to PC is successfully underway.
Yeah, you'd think almost all developers would have multiples of them already.
Or like the prices of everything is increasing, which is how things work in general.I'm getting the impression that Microsoft has told Xbox division that they need to either achieve some profit margin or else it's over. Seems like they no longer see this as some long term strategic priority.
Why can't they fuck off from gaming and computer OS?
Why is PS5 slim disc version not priced same as Xbox Series X. Xbox Series X disc version costs $650 at 1 TB and PS5 Pro disc version costs $750 at 2 TB. And a Xbox Series X seagate 1 TB expansion card costs $135. Even the PS5 Pro is more value for money than Xbox Series X.Or like the prices of everything is increasing, which is how things work in general.
Why you asking me? I'm just saying that things in general increase in price over time. Instead of once again everyone jumping to conclusions, like Xbox is trying to kill itself from the inside, stupid shit like thatWhy is PS5 slim disc version not priced same as Xbox Series X. Jizzed Condom is going to have another meltdown on X..
Especially when a lot of game dev companies are already facing budget constraints for countless reasons. These are pointless measures unless you want to kill Xbox as soon as possible. Raising the price of development kits at this point is absurd.

At this point I think Microsoft is deliberately trying to make their console die.
Nevermind.have sony put theirs up? tariffs n all that spaff
Wouldn't be surprised if dev kits for the pro are close to that price.have sony put theirs up? tariffs n all that spaff

Why would anyone buy any console at these current prices with next gen right around the corner if they have held out this long to begin with? What consumer in their right mind would be buying an Xbox at this stage?
My guess is the scale at which Sony produces and sells Playstations affords them much better bulk component deals which somewhat keeps the prices in check. Xbox is in a no win situation of their hardware being in exponentially less demand, so they dont get the same deals, so the cost to produce a Series console is more expensive. Its just hilarous seeing the Xbox being more expensive than the Playstation given their respective demand, zero sense from a consumer POV.Why is PS5 slim disc version not priced same as Xbox Series X. Exactly. 5 years into a cycle is typically when the budget gamer enter the gen with slashed hardware/software. If you go back to 2018, if you were in the market for a PS4 you could have gotten a slim for $200 with most of the first party lineup priced at $20. Crazy how far removed we are from those days( and $99 PS2s 20 years ago may as well have existed on a different timeline entirely). Why would anyone buy any console at these current prices with next gen right around the corner if they have held out this long to begin with?

Consoles breaking down is about the only reason I can see. Considering the last consoles were released in 2013 and both PS and Xbox have a lot of users on the old systems it could be quite a few people. Also GTA 6 is right around the corner. I think a lot of the sports titles are leaving old gen behind now also so that will move consoles also. Why would anyone buy any console at these current prices with next gen right around the corner if they have held out this long to begin with?

so desperate to make anti xbox threads you couldnt even take the time to check if it hadnt already been made?
There was a new thread posted by Draugoth, but it seems a mod merged it into this one. There is another thread? Only other one I see is locked with a link to this thread.
Steam OS is never eclipsing Windows, much less putting MS out of business. If Apple couldn't do it, it's not possible.Hopefully Valve enters the arena with new hardware and expansion of their Steam OS, eclipsing Windows and putting MS out of business.
Xbox bashing NeoGAF threads are more funny to me than SNL skits or any late night comedy shows.
I agree as long as SteamOS still has issues with MP games it's not going to take over windows when it comes to gaming. If that happens though I can see MS being in real trouble. I loved SteamOS and it was the closest Steam has ever got me to switch to PC gaming but I can't leave all the top MP games behind like that.I'm done giving them the benefit of the doubt and just chalking this up to them being retarded. This is a deliberate effort to kill the brand.
