"Going forward" means "from now on" or "in the future" and is often used in a business context to talk about future actions, plans, or changes. It can also be used more generally to mean "to continue to a future point" or "to make progress".

  • From now on/In the future:
This is the most common meaning, especially in business.
    • Example: "Going forward, we will require all employees to submit time sheets weekly".
    • Example: "After securing the funding, the company can go forward with its expansion plans".

Microsoft just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about American culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Japan where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in America, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the american public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Halo for either system, nor will they purchase any of Microsoft's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Microsoft has alienated an entire market with this move.
Microsoft, publicly apologize and cancel Halo for Playstation or you can kiss your business goodbye.

On the one hand, it's really strange to see Halo going to a PlayStation console.
On the other hand, Halo hasn't been great for many years. So it's not like it matters, as much as if it was during the X360/PS3 era.
Still, it's a clear sign that Xbox as a brand is worth very little now.

It's cool to have Halo on playstation I guess.
But between there not having been a good Halo in ages and them moving on to UE5 it's hardly something to get excited about.
