Emiru assaulted at TwitchCon

nope lol

Okay now I get it when tank is explained.

What an ego.

I agree with you in most cases about streamers being drama farmers, but I don't think that applies here. They kept their relationship mostly private, and when things got bad she left him and told him to leave her alone. That's not drama farming. She attempted to resolve the issue privately, quietly, and just move on with her life. But he wouldn't allow her. Miz continued to stalk and harass her for a long time afterward.

Even if you want to argue that she could've just filed a restraining order and kept things hush hush, what would that really done in the end? It might have resolved things for her personally, but the reality is Mizkif would not have suffered any true consequences and would've moved on to do the same kind of bullshit with another woman. And he absolutely would have. There are other women who have spoken out about him. So there's a clear pattern of behavior here. A destructive kind of behavior that could one day lead to somebody getting badly hurt.

So fuck him, he deserves this.
Harass her with awkward messages?

Do you think streamers should publically go after each other if they deem one of them is an asshole? it's like adressing childish behavior with a nuclear bomb.

She tries to stop him being a dick by siccing the internet on him.

I don't buy the SA accusation based on what she described. Not saying Mizkif isn't a huge piece of shit though. Got mad because she was tanking and was afraid she would be better than him and his chat would make fun of him. Grow up dude.

I think it was posted earlier in the thread, but this one did it for me.

Yeah the guy clearly has issues lol. Throwing plushies isn't quite the same as being a manipulative bitch and man-baby.

The SA stuff wasn't necessary. Psychological abuse is a form of violence.

Asmongold is right here.

That rabbit cage video that Mizkif showed has no identifying marks of it being Emiru's.

- No Time/Date stamp of the video.
- Barely shows the inside of the cage.
- No rabbits visible.
- Does not show the outside of the cage so we can identify if it's actually Emiru's cage.

Violence by definition is the realm of the physical.
Idk domestic violence doesn't always have to be physical. True, by definition though. While he wasn't physical with her (that we know of) apart from the thing they both stated. He's gone out of his way to blackmail, manipulate and control Emiru.

Dude what planet are you on that messaging your ex-gf 40+ times when she has already repeatedly told you to leave her alone and wants nothing to do with you, not harassment?

Psychologically torturing and emotionally abusing your girlfriend, and at times making her feel physically threatened is not "childish" behavior. It's certaintly not childish behavior when she breaks up with him and he continues to stalk and harass her well afterward. That's unhinged pyscho shit. The fact that you're still trying to downplay his behavior while painting Emiru as part of the problem, after everything that's come out, is very telling on your part.

He had a habit of throwing shit at her, including his phone which hit her and gave her a black eye. This is after she told him numerous times to stop throwing things at her. Everyone has their own personal boundries for physical contact. If your girlfriend tells you to stop throwing things at her, that it scares her and she bruises easily, and you continue to do it, that's physical abuse territory in my book.

Never mind, siding against this guy

Yeah, my mouth dropped open when he talked about her throwing plushies and clothes vs. him punching holes in the wall. It's the disparity in the actions themselves, of course, but even more that he said that without any thought about it - or, rather, he actually thought that was a good defence to excuse his violent behavior.

Some skepticism is totally normal, but I've noticed different people trying to make it her fault or women's fault in general (they only go after guys with status, for example). It's very weird and off-putting.

Yes, reveals a warped worldview that he considered it a legitimate defense. And he doesn't seem to be refuting any of her claims, just throwing his rationalizations in for his behavior.

Actual unstable women will throw a lot more than plushies at you. Chairs, lamps, knives…….

Guy did not study up on reddit stories enough to get a good defense

The real issue is the victim's consent.

1. Individual streamers can use the "time out" feature in chat, block them, or use the "kick" functions. It's a UI design problem when these features are not used.

Access to adult content should be in sync with the host country's laws. Porn activity is legal in many jurisdictions.

Emiru being assaulted involves adults above the age of consent. Your underage bans are red herrings.

2. The website platform should allow the streamer to easily reject donations from individuals above a certain threshold. The money transfer should be rejected without the hassle of returning the money process.
The issue is that they won't do any of these things because they're dependent on their parasocial communities for money. If they start rejecting their most hardcore fans, it puts their entire career at risk. They're also too fucking stupid to understand the consequences of their actions and would never do it, anyways. While they may be adults, they never really went through the process of growing up.

As for the underage bans/restrictions, I do agree that I don't think it would really anyone in the here and now. Frankly, I think they're too far gone and are well beyond any sort of help. My concern is with the ones coming up. If we could slow down or mitigate what is happening with these people even a little bit, it would help. At this point, I'm willing to try anything within reason.

Because the SA accusation is basically bullshit.

She's a nice woman who can really transform herself into a 10. She exploits weaknesses for asian women that many have (I certainly do as well, I'm not going to pretend otherwise and be an hypocrite about it)
She does everything she can to transform herself into her audience's perfect anime dream girl waifu. She applies foundation/blush in a way that makes her skin lighter/smoother to make her appear younger and more Asian. Her eyeliner and eyelashes are done to emphasize her eyes and give herself the big anime eye look. She's always putting on anime cosplay. The room she streams from looks like it belongs to an eight year old.

And of course, she makes sure to this while doing a stream about an abusive relationship she went through, because god forbid the community of gooners she's fostered ever realize she's actually a 27 year old woman.

The streamer/influencer communities have been dining out on content related to this news for the last two days.

They really are like a box of hamsters, just crawling over each other to farm $$$.

That one dude that said the off-camera shit that goes on with these individuals in their cliques rivals Hollywood, might not actually be too far off.

They are like those scoundrels in western movies who plunder a body after a duel.

streamer drama is insane. in the middle of talking about psychological abuse and rape, she mentions that he didn't like when she played tank in world of warcraft
