Busy today but I might jump in during the weekend. Just saw a key for 30€ which sounds like a steal for a new game.

I'll check out some videos later, that hype of yours is contagious lol

Wow. 1st raid, I went in with a free loadout, completely maxed out my backpack. 1st elevator had one of the big flying robots so I had to backtrack to the other side of the dam. Ran out of ammo fighting the small robots. They worked me over. No shields and I had a sliver of health left. Found some more bandages and shield recharges but no ammo. Made it to the elevator and called it. A few seconds before it arrives, I get spotted and the queen shows up. I was able to get in and extract. I saw one human in the distance during the match, yelled out I was a friendly and he turn and ran away. What a ride!

So few questions, what exactly do you extract is it mainly materials for crafting or something, or is it actual gear like guns and armor?

How are solo players faring?

Ammo, material for crafting, shit to just sell, Wepons, keys to use an escape hatch to extract from instead for the elevator etc etc

Im all solo so far and i love it. Seems to be well balanced!

Played about 10 matches, level 5 now. All solo matches. Made it out safe about 5.

I will say I enjoyed DMZ better, miss that game, but so far I am having a good time. The audio in this game is award worthy. For $39 its a great time. Runs flawless on my 7700xt

What locks in that can't be lost? Like if you extract a weapon... And equip it for another mission is that weapon safe?

Nope, if you take it you can loose it! You have a safe-pocket though, where you can put 1 item, if you get killed atleast that item is safe. You can start a match with a free loadout, not the best equipment and not much space to loot stuff, but its free! So if you get killed it really dosent matter. No safepocket in that equipment though, so better not find a item with high value, the heart will beat then:D

Just looted an epic key from a downed raider, goes to a "Blue Gate Confiscation Room" Gonna be fun!

New tip for the boys:

Check the traders at home base, several trade for items that aren't money.

Like you can trade your free load out bags for green ones.

I am 3 for 3 on extractions. Killed my 1st raider. I told him I was a friendly, he rushed me and meleed me. I put him down with my gun. We were at the elevator too, he was welcome to join me on the extraction. Damn this game is phenomenal.

You extract with mainly materials I expect, guns, grenades, schematics etc. You use those materials to level up your own space i.e create crafting stations, upgrade them, craft weapons, grenades, ammo, etc. What I've learnt is to not be too attached to your gear, they're instantly gone in a bad run. But you can also upgrade your guns to make them more reliable, add attachments etc. Its all risk reward, leaning heavier towards the risk. I've learnt to embrace the tension this creates.

Been having a way more pleasant experience solo. Solo players seem to be instance together with other solo players in the world, at least from my 10 raids thus far. I mainly communicate via emotes, and most other solo players I found in the wild are friendly and just want to loot and extract or gang up to take out the bigger ARC enemies. The squad experience, for me, feel a bit more rushed and will gravitate towards PVP.

I hope the robots have better luck on your future adventures.

Got a key for the Spaceport and unlocked the next map. The game is really really good. Only ran into a couple of people that were aggressive. Everyone for the most part has been cordial. A couple of randos that teamed up saved me at an extraction. One jumped down and missed a ledge and splatted. We revived him and all extracted together, pretty great.

This game is so fun, glad I preordered deluxe to support the devs more. I do worry about the game falling off over a short period of time since it's sandwiched in between Battlefield 6 and Black Ops 7, although those are different game play styles. Been on a winning streak all night, and most people I've ran into have actually been friendly. Does it seem like leveling feels slow to anyone else?

Ahh I see, maybe it's only because I've had the chance to play for a few hours at most today. I'm at level 5.
I made it to level 12. Loot more, even if it's empty it's worth 200 exp. Do quests, kill arcs, and boom you'll level fast.

Got home late from work tonight.

Didn't have much time to play before getting ready for bed, but managed about 4 solo raids and did all of them with free loadouts. Last one I stumbled upon another player and teamed up, then later extracted with.

Found an Anvil on my first raid and then a raider hatch key on the last.

This game is the real deal. The environmental sandbox of the levels really lends to so many ways to approach situations. The progression system feels right. I felt I earned some rewards and upgrades in my two hours, while also seeing there is more to play for.

But what the game nails is that tension of pushing your luck. With every extra minute spent topside, and each piece of valuable loot in tow, I became aware of how nervous I was. And each escape ends in utter chaos with a noisy elevator escape that attracts drones and players alike. It's brilliant.

Added a few folks to the second post who are up for running groups. Really need the embark ID's with the way the friend list and crossplay works in game. Find yours here: https://id.embark.games/id/profile

Any other takers @me. Don't be shy we don't bite. Fine if you don't want to use comms (although its recommended).

Be nice if they added a clan system at some point save fucking around.

I've been having shite luck with other raiders and have no clue if it's just me. Literally everyone other than two folks were hostile, is this really how it goes? I've been doing quite well vs the Arcs, all of my deaths have been to actual people.

Edit: I just realized other people may not hear me for some reason, does the proximity voice chat activate on its own? Or do I need to press something on PS5 for others to hear me?

Hold left on the d-pad.

Did some trips, got killed 3/4 of the times, nearly had some heart attacks, shut down the game in anger, then got back after 5 minutes... Don't know if I can handle this stress.... 10/10 goty for now😅😂

Played for about 10 hours today.

Probably the friendliest community I have ever experienced in a PvP game. Not sure I've ever seen this level of trust between players, especially with loot on the line. Almost everyone I encountered was friendly. I even quested for almost an entire round and exfiled with someone.

The game is really intense, even when you're on a free loadout and there's pretty much nothing on the line. All of the environments are great, and the sense of wonder is still there even after 10 hours. I feel like I've barely seen anything.

The systems aren't too convoluted, which is nice. The game's onboarding is good, slowly introducing different things.

Only real complaint is that my inventory is constantly full, even after expanding it a few times. That's my own fault though, I'm hoarding stuff because I haven't figured out what to craft yet.

Already looking forward to playing again and discovering more. Definitely going to have some crazy ass dreams tonight.

It's just a game man, don't let it get you angry. You're supposed to be having fun.

Don't worry it's a sane anger, the same I get when playing souls, never broke a controller on a screen in my life... It's just the fuck you man laughing angry😂😂😂 but thanks for caring it's sincerely appreciated my man ❤️🍻

The game is legitimately great so far. They really solved alot of the issues I had with the entire extraction genre when it comes to solo play. Having you progress quests and building up your town as the main progression loop instead of pure PvP.

Yeah, I think I must have been the world's unluckiest person when I first started playing solo, because at the beginning I only ran into psychopath murder hobos. But after a few hours, I mostly had wholesome encounters. Funny enough, one even knocked me down "because he was scared" and kept sincerely apologizing.

Anyway, considering the solo community trend, I feel like the PC version is lacking a toggle command for the proximity chat. Or perhaps I need a foot pedal...

Edit: I found it.

Prox chat does toggle? It's in the settings, I think its bound to B by default. Unless I'm misunderstanding you.

You're absolutely right. I already set it. But it's AI chat's fault, I swear. I asked it for how to setup a toggle for prox chat, and it went down a crazy rabbit hole.

Any big changes in the 1.0 compared to the last server stress test?

More enemy variety? More interesting loot? Any big balance work?
