Arc Raiders |OT| Gaming's Next Mario 64 Moment™

Why exactly is a chicken managing my loot in this game? Is there a lore reason?
Scrappy collects loot in order for you to constantly have some basic crafting materials. The chicken skin was originally just a placeholder but the devs thought it was fun to just keep it in the game as is. When you're in a raid, you can actually sometimes hear a chicken crow in the background. That's Scrappy doing the lords work.

Been having some annoying performance issues with this one. If I boot the game up and shaders compile (ie. update, reinstall, gpu drivers change) it runs perfect. If I boot it up and shaders don't compile, it runs like an absolute bag of shit. Problem is I can't force the shaders to compile without reinstalling (at least I haven't found a way).
The shaders only compile first time running it, after an update or when you install new drivers as far as im aware.

No issues like you describe my end. Have you tried update said drivers?

Post your embark id so we can add your ass.

GonzitoGuapo#0076, I believe that is the one.

They knew about your passion for cooks :messenger_kissing_smiling:

Are you using framegen? That cause ghosting ususally.

Actually I am not using it, I removed motion blur and it looks better actually now

Fuck me just made it out of a night run with seconds to spare and arc all over me like a rash.

Ill be looking for a clean pair of undies on my next run.

Walking up a road in dam battlegrounds.
Raider crouching in road opens fire on me for no apparent reason, I dodge roll, fire back with my kettle and kill him.
"Oh my god bro my microphone was muuuuuuuuted bro"
"Oh my god brohhhhhhhhhh"
Me "Say 'bro' one more time motherfucker, say it one more time, I dare you".

If you don't respond with at least an emote then I'm sorry your getting it. Shoot first, ask questions after you check the corpse.

I mean, it's not like a response guarantee you that he is not gonna shot your back...

And sometimes people forget or don't know how to use the wheel to comunicate.

Yesterday i helped noobs who didn't know shit about the game :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

True but a no response at all makes my trigger finger itchy.

Electrical storm modifier on saturday. It has no improved loot so we'll see if its worth it or not. Maybe its a good condition for big robot farming if it hurts them that much
Likely that. Should let you come out a bandit.

A few things

The gunplay is absolutely fantastic, it feels like you are actually shooting a gun. Incredible job and the vibration in the controller is really well done

The sound design is spectacular. The realism of the gunshots and firefights are overwhelming but in a good way.

Graphics are very good, the environments are very detailed and I feel the immersion. I have found some low res textures here and there sometimes though. Does this game uses Raytracing? It feels like it doesn't, the light in some interiors feels artificial sometimes

Performance is magnificent. I haven't had any issues, the framerate is stable and there is no stuttering

The solo experience is really good, most players I have found so far are good people and helpful even. One thing that stood out to me so far is the fact that I barely see other players in the map. The maps are so big that it's difficult to find other players so this feels at times like a single player

So far I am hooked and I see a lot of potential here papitos

Cheers

Depends where you are looting. There are raids where I never see a single person, it all depends what I am going in for. Hit the higher loot areas and there will be people all over the place. I have gone in and looted one building and got good items and immediately left.

Yeah if you head to the high loot areas or head towards the gun fire, problems will find you easily enough.

What are everyone's favorite weapons so far? Weapon combos?

My typical load out is usually a Ferro and Stitcher if going cheap or an upgrade Ferro with either shotgun (both with some mods).
Most underrated weapon is still the Berletta. Although when running one, I've very mixed on what to run alongside it.

The Osprey is of course amazing at long range. Renegade is fun, but I've only found one so far (can't craft any more yet).

Found a Tempest last night, but died before getting a chance to use it. Haven't used the Torrente since TT2.

Thats weird. You can find people everywhere even on the most barren side of the map all the time. Maybe you just encountered a lot of rats in your way and you didnt even realized they were near you

No not tools im swimming in those bastards. These little fuckers are like Fabergé eggs.

I found mine ripping panels off the back of the buses by the power generation or whatever extract. It's the far north extract on dam. There are two buses there. I saw someone get one on stream when I had 1 of 3. It took me two trips to get two more.

Thanks. I will be visiting there after work today. :messenger_beaming:

I've had some success tonight, 2 Rusted Gear in the Buried City parking garage night raid.

The extract on Buried city is a bitch but luckily got out.

Edit: Just got my third, definitely the place to go.

Anyone know where to find an Anvil blueprint?
Need suggestions for where to look.
Blueprints don't have a set location for spawning. This goes for any loot beyond basic crafting/recyclables.

Generally they will be in the higher tier loot areas (red on the map). Guns themselves can be found almost anywhere too.

What's this, another GAS shooter?

Colour me not interested.

Maybe it it's a absolute smash hit, between this, Fortnite, a couple more FPS (PUBG, Apex) some eastern gachas and Roblox can attract 60 or 70% of gaming. That for sure will be good for gaminng 🙄

No, its not just another gaas shooter. Its a pretty significant game in the multiplayer space that will be talked about for years to come and im sorry for everyone whos missing the launch window of this game. It honestly has one of the best community, especially for a game that has pvp aswell

Yet here you are in the OT thread telling us all you're not interested.

Do you think we care?

I found a bunch of these on my second run but then got downed by another solo player who tricked me by saying don't shoot and let's work together.

Little did I know what I had on me at the time.

Think I broke a couple down at the weekend. Spent the best part of 2 nights on the hunt for 3 more. Just do free night runs to the car park I mentioned above. You don't get one every time but they seem more likely there than anywhere else.

Edit: In the car bonnets just for clarity.

I can't seem to stick to any quests now. Always get distracted or fill up on loot lol. Slowly upgrading the work benches.
I've been on the same quests for awhile now, but I'min no rush to complete them right now. I just hop on, do some solos or trios depending if my friends are on. A lot of times we just do a bunch of free loadout Night Raids purely for PvP fun.

I run Anvil IV and IL Torro IV. Anvil hits hard and at IV the fire rate is solid, cuts through Arc fast and it's a great opener against other players. Really solid weapon. The IL Torro needs to be close-ish to do good work, but it's my anti-player gun. I run with an extended mag because most players are running upgraded Rattlers, which can down a player in one clip. If you dodge their spray, they have to swap out or reload - and then I push in with the IL Torro and just fucking shred them. If they're at range, the Anvil's more than enough - they never see the upgraded fire rate coming.
