Used to love reading the site, but lately they are running "articles" actually disguised as ads for online gambling. What the fuck is wrong with these sites and the obsession that people have with online gambling. Also, (while I can be wrong) it seems like Nichegamer is stealing articles from gematsu. Too many similarities in wording with a lot of articles. I won't be reading nichegamer any more. And hope the site goes bankrupt and closes.

These days any money from ads is make or break. We're long past the times when the gaming sites where dictating who can have ads or sponsored materials and how much they should pay.

It's still weird that they're not even trying to maintain some proportions between real articles/news and sponsored material. A niche site faces a greater danger of losing all of its niche audience.

I already read a lot of books (from 9:30pm-11pm) every day. And I do enjoy life. Just irritated that one of the few sites I read about gaming has turned into such a shithole

Oh nice. That site was my go to for daily Quake news. I remember being so excited at getting a mention of a Quake mod I was working on posted back in the day.

So true. I dont know what it's like now, but way back when my buddy ran a site, he'd say the types of companies that always paid a ton were gambling and dating sites. He'd tell all of us all these other ad sign ups pay shit, but then if someone clicks the link to sign up for those categories they'd pay like $40 per profile. Sounds like a lot of easy money if you got the traffic and people click away.
