Now, I DO think Half-Life 3 is near, and Valve loves to surprise people. Maybe when SteamMachines are more close to release?

Oh, and I also think it is going to be awesome. Gaming is really on a downfall with normies flooding everything, yes they will claim it is lame because it doesnt have Nikki Minaj and a new season 2 weeks after launch, but for people that actually likes video games and not dopamine addicts its going to be fresh air.

It is speculated that Valve have told different dates to different people to weed out leakers. They've apparently done something like this for Half-Life: Alyx as well. So this might be a reason why there's so much uncertainty around specific dates.
 
Valve should troll by uploading the trailer . With first few seconds being the normal valve intro and then rick roll video should play for 10 seconds, then it fades and the real half-life 3 trailer begins.

They will never attempt to release a game they know won't meet the expectations it built after two decades.

Maybe another spinoff like Alyx or a new ip with mechanics that were reserved for it.

It is. Months (sometimes years) before the release of Half-Life Alyx, Deadlock, and the recently announced Steam Hardware, data miners gleamed info from existing Source 2 code. Half Life 3 is following the same pattern. How some people can't see this is quite puzzling.

It looks very similar to the Episode 3 concept art, so this could be someone dropping those into chatgpt and saying "Create concept art based of these images but in line with HL:A artstyle".

As a mater of fact, it is indeed the concept art from Episode 3 that was shown in their documentary about the making of Alyx lmao
