Fatekeeper - Official Gameplay Reveal Trailer

This looks fucking insane

Just posted this in the other thread.
The title and cover art make me think it takes place in the world of Kingdoms of Amalur. Definitely keeping my eye on this one.

Nearly identical pose.

I don't remember the last game that locked a day one purchase after like 1 min of gameplay but here we are.

Absolutely hyped for this one.

I'm not convinced. I had this exact same feeling when I saw the Immortals of Aveum trailer for the first time
Agreed. Looks like a flashy tech demo. Also, nothing about the world or combat really wowed me. It just looks beautiful.

I'll keep an eye on it, but I'm not expecting much yet.

This is how I imagine Avowed would've turned out if it wasn't made by mentally ill people.
Yea I said in the reveal trailer thread this is what I wanted avowed to look like, but fuck avowed this looks great, though yea the protagonists voice is hard to understand, weird choice

Graphics are incredible

pls be good also i would like to see more dismemberment and gore in this game, something like Dead Island 2 would be awesome and fit the theme perfectly.

Damn I'm impressed. Fatekeeper looks impressive graphically and captures the essence of my favourite old school RPG games. The music is fantastic too. I never thought I would like a rat as travel companion ;).

I'm curious to know if they'll be able to create a whole long game that matches the standard they set here.

Looks great, and those sword swings have some nice weight behind them, but for the love of God, please hire some real voice actors!

That raspy grumbling is so distracting!

Not to derail this thread too much but as god as my witness I misread the title as "FatKeeper" and thought it was a game about running an obesity retreat which come to think of it would be an interesting idea for a game. (Section on preventing patients from escaping or sneaking food in. And of course boss sections where you fight in first person mode against a "whale" with ozempic harpoons.)

Jesus, looks awesome. Graphics, combat and the impact of the attacks, physics etc, looks fantastic. Can we have a Elder Scrolls looking like this? I know, I won't kid myself there.

I don't have a PC and I do wonder how Steam Machine will run this.

Looks good but the Voice Acting needs some serious work. The swing is hefty and doesnt follow through all the way which is great. You want that feeling that you didnt cut the person with every swing.

Well, then I really wonder at what resolution and framerate this will run on the current consoles. Not to mention Steam Machine.

More games need to have a weapon inspection button. Love all the different animations in Cyberpunk 2077. It's just pure aura farming.

Looks pretty slick overall, but the combat really doesn't appear to have any impact effects at all. I feel like it could use some kind of hitstop animation or something, so it doesn't look like you're just slashing through air.

Hope they do a demo. I've yet to find a first person melee combat game that feels good to play.
Darktide has insanely good melee combat.

On-topic:
It's interesting how this can impress me to the degree it does.
Even though all games look "good" nowadays, this somehow manages to stand out.
