What are your favourite reactions to music videos? Music means everything in my life and just seeing someone listening to a song for a first time brings me joy (I know it might sounds silly).


Super Trouper is my favourite ABBA song and I really loved this reaction.

As a music lover I see every music reaction video as pure, unfiltered narcissism at its finest. Look at meeeeeeee. Meeeeeeee. Who gives a shit about how some fucking stranger reacts to a song? Who wants to watch that? And 99% of it is phoned in and exaggerated anyway.

Amigo, el tipo del video parece un papanatas.

That guy's way over the top, although the music from the 70´s '80s, '90s, and 2000s will always be great... unlike the garbage out there today, like Sabrina Carpenter or whatever her name is, Billie Eilish, Marshmello, and others who make pure trash music.

The best are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Garbage, Aerosmith, and more.

They can be fun to watch, but most of the time it's clear the person is aware of the camera and the reaction comes off as fake

I've watched hours of people reacting to Polyphia. My favorites are the ones that are musicians who have never heard anything from the band before. Watching them comes close to feeling like when I heard them for the first time and they blew my mind.

The only time i can tolerate reaction videos is when Beavis and Butthead do them.

I fucking hate reaction videos in general and that includes music based ones. But especially when someone has worked out that metal fans (which was and is my first musical love) will watch any old shit as long as someone from outside that genre legitimises it and the taste of the listeners.

In that instance, the narcissism as noted by Chuck Berry is perhaps placed upon the viewer, who is being told by someone who they've placed in an authority position, that it's ok that they like death metal vocals and breakdowns as long as someone on YouTube who looks like they normally listen to Prince is saying "mm-hm, this has a groove I wasn't expecting" and "those vocals are giving me chills" and "this feels so emotional" just before the blast beats kick in again. "Wow, nice."
