I loved watching this trailer but the game name is doing it such a disservice. Any other generic name would have done.
At first I thought it was sequel to Clive Barker's Jericho.

Here is the cast of Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. If you can't see the difference between these and that trash, there's nothing I can do for you. Keep thinking it's because of racism or sexism or whatever.
 
As someone who played this a bit actually...

Its weird and jank, maybe the jank can be ironed out. But the rest of it, well im not sure. Its probably not a game il be buying into though.

The music sells the action in the trailer but if it is a grindy multiplayer game I would the music off and listen to a podcast instead. But personally I like this style more than Space Marine 2.
 
I initially thought this was just a co-op MP shooter like L4D or WWZ. I guess it is but the trailer acts like there's moments of resource gathering, driving, and moving around much larger environments than the others and that seems kind of cool if that's the case. Glad they dropped EGS exclusivity.
 
So I checked to see if there was a thread on this game after apparently I missed this months ago. I thought the trailer last night looked like a ton of fun. Very Left 4 Dead coded obviously. Why is there no hype for this? It's only 29.99 for preorder on PS store right now for people who owned world war z.

Even a Steam Deck runs LF4D2 maxed out 1080p. I play it every once in a while downstairs where I've got that hooked up. I see what you mean though, as I'm probably getting a machine and putting it on the OLED upstairs.

At some point I should try connecting an hdmi to my deck dock and see how it looks output to my tv. An L4D fest could be fun.

Pretty big info dump here. Didn't read it all.

But, I really think the idea of crossing Snowrunner with WWZ is pretty interesting. You can get stuck in bad situations and have to tow your vehicle out, there's several types of vehicles. Each have their own abilities, like mounted machine guns and whatnot. Lots of driving involved. The driving and John Carpenter's name is what has me sort of interested.

It flat out doesn't feel like John Carpenter made the game or put that ad together.
To be fair, I can't think of any great film director that's ever made a great game, only great directors who've made disappointing games.

played the closed test and it was decent, ran horribly at times when there were too many zombies, but it was a closed test 7 months ago so not gonna be too harsh

vehicles drive like snowrunner so its good in that aspect

fun fact this was supposed to be an epic games exclusive at one point but they changed their mind

Anyway, I just played it. It's pretty much back 4 blood with war world z combined. It does absolutely nothing better than said games, aside from having a vehicle to take care of/use. It has 4 big types of classes, the generic ones, medic, soldier, etc. a mediocre weapons arsenal. Shooting enemies feels ok I guess, level design is ok. Story/characters are super cringe btw. Overall its mid. Considering how back 4 blood flopped even tho i enjoyed it and wwz did fine, I'm not sure how tis will turn out, if they'll keep supporting it or not. Wishlisted and I'll keep an eye out on it. Certainly not a day one purchase.
