Do not complain/whine/bitch about it. Just don't buy this edition. That's the only way they'll get the signal that you don't want this. $$ is what matters, not negative impressions on social media.

But people will buy it and it's just extra money from impatient people, they see it as no harm no foul.

Oh yeah, I suspect most people who preorder deluxe editions will get this and Publishers will keep doing it. Just saying there's no point complaining about it.

And to be fair, it's a single player game. So it really is no harm no foul.

Don't listen to this. Complain ALL day.

Early access for single-player games like Saros absolutely harms the experience: spoilers wreck the story, FOMO drives artificial tiers, and apathy lets publishers fragment launches.

It exploits pure FOMO. Paying extra for timed access to the full game plus minor cosmetics

It sets a greedy precedent, turning complete $70 games into artificially tiered products

Publishers push this because apathy lets it spread. Silence normalizes longer tiers and more fragmentation next time.

Buy standard, starve the trend.

They should exploit the FOMO gamers. Why is that bad? Is 48 hours really that hard to go on a blackout mode for this game? If it's that bad, just stay off Twitter for 48 hours.

If you don't like it, don't buy it, but there are those of us who like the early access stuff A LOT, and are happy to pay a premium for it.

Like I said above, the one sure way to get me to pre-order a game or buy the deluxe edition is to offer early access. I absolutely love that shit.

Nah, exploiting FOMO is straight-up scummy imo, it turns a $70 single-player game into a paywall scam

Publishers know the game is done and they're artificially delaying the standard edition to create urgency, banking on fans' fear of missing hype

Is 48 hours really that hard to go on a blackout mode for this game? If it's that bad, just stay off Twitter for 48 hours.
Come on, that's ridiculous

Good luck avoiding thumbnails of the final boss, random group chat messages like "holy shit that ending," or the algorithm shoving review clips in your face.

Spoilers are unavoidable unless you literally delete social media for the weekend. Not everyone can (or wants to) live like a hermit for two days just to enjoy a game unruined

Publishers know this and bank on it.

Cool, whales gonna whale.

"don't buy it". Yeah, no fucking shit.

And plenty hate it, You're a tiny minority; most want shared launches like GTA 6/RDR2.

Next it's 72 hours for $150. You FOMO guys are going to eat that up too

Edit: and you can "LOL" my post all you want, but how about actually pointing out what's positive about paying for 48 hours of early access (besides just playing the game early and that it cures your FOMO).

How about, It's my money and I will spend it how I like?

And to me, being able to access a game that I really want to play early is worth the extra money.

No more, no less.

Everything in your post screams "I'm jealous," so I'm sorry that you're unable to afford deluxe editions that come with early access

Why? You either want it early or you don't. Either way it's not a bad thing.

For me is just a cheap move.

All they do is delay the game for a couple of days for non deluxe edition owners so they can put as an extra for the deluxe edition.

Usually deluxe editions included mini artbooks, mini soundtracks and even special packages on physical ones, like this:

Now they just focus on the early access and throw some skins in and that's it.

Love it when people go straight to "you're jealous/poor" the second they run out of actual arguments

Nobody cares how you spend your money, champ. Spend it on overpriced coffee or lottery tickets too, no one's stopping you.

The issue is your "personal choice" directly funds a scummy practice

Enjoy your headstart while you flex being the publisher's favorite sucker 💀

Just a greedy, shitty practice. That's the biggest enticement when all you have is some skins and shit.

I think it's really gay to lock behind a "deluxe" preorder bonus. How about ALL preorders get to access it early and only people who bought physical have to wait? How about rewarding those who buy digitally and save you a few $$$ from having to print so many hard copies.

EA's WRC actually did that. If you pre-ordered in any way (digitally) you could access the game earlier than the official release date.

I think Microsoft started this stupid practice. Maybe with Forza Horizon 4? Can't remember.

Let's see which works better - this, or boycotting buying RAM to force prices down.

stop copying corrupt ms practices, its poisoning the industry.
barely any game ships in good state day 1 nowadays, let alone day -2, you 'd need to be special kind of stupid to fall for these premium priced early tests
but of course they know gamerz has the impulse control of a toddler, so this'll keep happening

The game looks cool, but also an obligatory fuck off with upselling a couple day early access.

One the dumbest practices in video games, and the people who pay extra for it are dumb too.

You can complain all day and night. This will never go away. Tons of people bite on early access at this point and it's the one perk that costs them quite literally nothing. It's just free money and it's here to stay.

I have always thought early access for paying extra is lame as hell. With that being said, I'm still pre-ordering the deluxe edition for those 4 armor sets and to support a great studio like Housemarque.

They should offer this in tiers.

$70 on release day
$80 for 2 days earlier
$110 for 8 days earlier
$140 for 14 days earlier
Etc.

That is stupid, most people play on weekends or only 1 hour per day at max. Every game would be spoiled for those people from "hardcore" players.

Also, people who risk they money in a product with no reviews or opinion at all should have that advantage. I didn't preorder anything from years because that. The one point to complain is they are only giving the early access to the premium version

I get your point, but early access creates a concentrated tsunami of spoilers from thousands of deluxe players blasting the full story in 48-72 hours, hitting right as standard buyers start

Real examples like Starfield's 5-day early access prove it: story spoilers and late-game footage exploded online within days

Your 'hardcore players' points ignores scale/timing

Risk money blind = deserve early access? What? Early access isn't a 'reward'. Its predatory FOMO engineering. Game's done; they delay standard buyers to squeeze $10+

I literally said:

"The one point to complain is they are only giving the early access to the premium version"
This misses the big scam: Early access isn't a 'free bonus'. It's fake scarcity created by delaying the standard edition on purpose.

And this rewards blind gambling → more buggy/rushed games

Early access compared to physical copies, I'm not talking about early access between different digital editions. In fact, I'm not even talking about the early access, I'm clearly talking about digital games should releases several days or even weeks than physical copies.

More buggy/rushed games? Do you think those games only need 3 days to duplicate and transporting to different game stores?

People on here are weird man. I wouldn't bother trying to convince them otherwise.

Wait for a sale because of early access is funny af. You still buying it is a win for them either way.

I can see the early release amiibos from Nintendo soon. If people don't see the issue with this, they got you bent over and it'll keep getting worse.

You aren't accessing shit early, the company is pushing back release late to everyone who doesn't pay extra $10-30 (whatever that is).

It is a FOMO move and people like you get hooked. Folks who are paying $70 at release can normally afford $90 or whatever this is, nobody is "jealous" but the whole thing is dumb.

Personally I find the whole approach annoying and it immediately pushes any game that does it to a "wait till it's 50% off" list.
