(Big?) Resident Evil Showcase confirmed for early 2026

Doesn't Requiem come out in Feb or something 🤔
 
It says specifically says Requiem. Not series news. Maybe extended gameplay for Leon. And just mabe third character reveal(Rosemary).
 
Wouldn't mind knowing more about other RE projects, but I'm really trying to avoid everything surrounding Requiem before I get to play it. Getting increasingly more difficult, for sure.
 
Yes, they talked about this at TGS.

Hoping they release a demo at this. They're possibly gonna announce more Switch 2 ports here.

It's going to showcase Leon gameplay too.

I think I'll skip it. I don't need to see any more. I've been in since reveal.
 
They need to show the game's scope so we know if we explore the whole city or if it's a short corridor stealth/shooter game.

GrayChild GrayChild Won't be delayed since they are using RE this year to push numbers for their 4th quarter Fiscal Report.

Wouldn't you want those things to remain a surprise? I mean it was quite cool how they made certain things look in the marketing of 8 but then in the game itself some of these things weren't as they seemed. I tried inserting a spoiler but it's not working.

I'll take some franchise news but if it's Requiem related I'll continue staying as spoiler free as I can. At least as far as screenshots and videos go.
 
In order to give people context for Alissa Ashcroft they are remastering and re-releasing Outbreak Files 1 and 2 as a combined game, finishing the cut levels, and including the unused costumes that are normally inaccessible by normal means. With 0 loading times.

Thank you Capcom, What a great and thoughtful move to bring games that were ahead of their time into an age where online co-op is at its most popular.

They don't need to show anything more. A showcase should be well before releasing, not one month before.
 
I don't need to see anything else from RE9. The first previews showed very little, but now that they've shown Leon, I can feel comfy going into this one.

They could show there:
  • Another Resident Evil Requiem trailer
  • Announcement of some Resident Evil Requiem demo (timed exclusive or exclusive for whoever console maker pay for it) and/or console bundle (for whoever console maker pays for it)
  • PSVR2 support for RE Requiem
  • Another trailer for the upcoming Switch 2 ports of old RE games
  • Some trailer of whatever RE movie/anime they have in the works
  • Collab of including RE stuff in other games, as could be Street Fighter 6, Monster Hunter Wilds and maybe some non-Capcom game like Fortnite
  • Announcement of some RE anniversary merch and maybe some related presential event as could be a museum expo
  • Announcement of the next RE remake. Which who knows if it would be RE0, RECV or RE5. I'd like them to remake RE Outbreak 1 & 2 as a single game, but I assume it won't happen.

Maybe we can have an announcement of gfn on day one support running on 5080. That would be nice since thats how I'll be playing it.

We saw Jim Ryan signed a RE marketing deal for the previous generation, which included Village and other RE games which among other things in case of games featuring VR versions they'd get PSVR1 version.

Who knows if they renewed that RE deal for this generation. We know Sony signed the marketing deal with many other Capcom games, but not sure about RE Requiem. Maybe this time Nintenod got the deal to pay the Switch 2 port, while Sony got the rest of main Capcom games of this generation.

Do we really need see any more of RE9? I'm already sold on this game and we are close to release, I rather just wait for the come out.
 
As much as I want more, I don't think we hear anything about other RE games until after Reqiuem. I don't know that they have ever announced the next one before the announced one is out.
 
I don't understand deep dives for games about to release. These games are 10h playthrough, don't reveal too much. Leon's back, there a cute girl, it's resident evil what more do you need to know in advance?

I agree. Hell imo it would've been nice if Leon was a surprise that we find out playing the game. But marketing plays a big role, I get it.
