Xbox |OT| Power Your Dreams

I am actually surprised to see Double Dragon crossover with River City. I grabbed that along with Neon Inferno for my 2D fix.

Looks like the app is updated.

Store, wishlist, full library. Also has a copilot tab.

I like the GP sale price in green and other sales in yellow. Nice touch.

For rewards or just because?

I gotta check my email too, lol.
no reason. came through as an offer thing through the xbox store, not as a chat message. i booted up my xbox and got a popup toast notification saying something along the lines of "See your offer". did not get any other notification of it through email or chat message.

No offers for me.

Looks like the system UI was slightly updated. Demos are now automatically filtered to the free category along with trials so you don't have to manually hide them now.

Holy shit, that's 2000+ items on sale. More than they had for black friday.

Gonna take a while to go through all of that ..

I Purchased the https://electron-shepherd.com/products/electronxout HDMI adapter for the original Xbox to play on my Samsung S90F OLED. I tried a few other HDMI adapters for it and they all had graphical issues. So far this one is working without any problems. It's recommendable. I didn't have a TV with component or composite inputs so it's nice to be able to play it again.
Starting with Project Gotham Racing 1. I want to play the games that are not available elsewhere, or that play best on the Original Xbox.
Using game mode at 3:4 ratio unless the game supports wide screen. Also have the TV's Auto-HDR feature on to spice it up a bit. Be careful, the jaggies are so sharp that you might get hurt.
PGR1 is pretty good, but the AI is evil. They always trying to spin me out on the corners.

Hmm I guess I'll have to look a little closer on Xbox store pages to tell if something is Play Anywhere. Good news though, Hitman is seemingly a play anywhere game now. However, it doesn't say "PC" in the "Play with" tags but it does say Play Anywhere in the "Capabilities" tags. Haven't installed it but I have to option to actually install it on PC instead of the usual cloud option.

Bit weird to label Cloud as "play anywhere", since that's always been the point.

The console <-> PC is where that label makes the most sense.

That time I got an AD for tampons on my Xbox 360 #TBT

I got some updated terms yesterday before it let me get to the dashboard to choose the type of advertising relevant to me and couldn't skip it.

Just wanna play my games man, I'm not gonna think fuck me must buy some pepsi max if there is an ad in the bottom right.

Luckily no tampon adverts yet. 50+ year old single man living on his own, I'd fucking hope it never pops up either.

Indie selects sale. Picked up some weird stuff I have been watching but know nothing about.

Detective Dotson $7.50. HD2D detective game set in India? Why not.
Hannah's Day $3
Psychroma $5
Stone of Madness art book $1.50

I have never heard of these games before. Does Xbox have a lot of indies compared to like Steam?

They definitely have less than Steam, which probably helps a bit with discovery. Each store you have a random chance to stumble upon new titles you may not have seen. Tons of indies everywhere.

Do I need a certain post count before I make a thread? Most likely.... I am guessing. I am so undecided if I want to grab a steam deck, a gaming laptop... for portability. I am not looking to play on a bus or anything like that, just something around my house for steam or the place where I can play the most indies on the go.

50 posts I believe. Welcome to the site!

I don't have either of those so you'll likely have to weigh the pros and cons on price and what games it can run. You can definitely get a laptop stronger than a Steam Deck, so it just depends what you want. If you want convenience, then there's lots of different PC or Steam handhelds.

There is a thread for requesting an existing member to make a new thread on your behalf:

Are these 12 month gamepass ultimate subscriptions on Ebay legit?

Example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/306745451554

They don't appear to be codes like they used to be. Just wondering if anyone has bought one through this process before.
If you want to get GPU cheaper, just use sites like eneba or cdkeys/loaded. This ebay listing looks like they give you an account to use, probably with sketchy credit card payment attached. The listing says "If you want to use your own account on PC or Cloud, this product is not for you.". So yeah, looks like they give you an account. If you're fine with that, OK, but who knows if that account will last a year.
