PlayStation VR2 |OT| I heard it has a single cable. Is this true?

I recommend POOLS. A very atmospheric backroom walking simulator. One of the creepiest experiences I've had without jumpscares or barely any gameplay. I wish they'd make a full horror game out of this, just adding a few more eerie elements.

I'm about three hours into Ghost Town and I really recommend it. It might end up being my favorite (escape room)/(narrative puzzle) game on PSVR2, even beating The 7th Guest, although that could just be recency bias. The studio has made a big jump forward compared to their previous game, Room VR. Beyond the puzzles, there are really strong narrative sections and more adventure like moments. Graphics is also very good (though traditionally with reprojection and occasional miura). On the other hand, for some reason probably during the apartment segments, looking out at skyscrapers, or opening the trunk of your car the game made me realize how much we're missing by not having PSVR2 modes for GTA V or Cyberpunk :messenger_sad_relieved:

Q. The seventh title offered a strong VR experience. Are there any plans to bring parts of this game into VR?

A. At this time, there are no plans to bring any parts of Resident Evil Requiem to VR platforms. However, the game can be played in a first-person perspective, allowing players to feel immersed in the experience. We also have not yet shown much of Leon's gameplay yet, and we plan to share more details in the future.

not good sign. Like Namco on Acecombat 8, Capcom and other Japanese developer has become lazy to add psvr2 feature even if there is a big market in it and its adds innovation and more immersion. When it comes to technology in gaming dvelopment, Japan is way behind now

mostly just come down to Sony is willing to pay the bills or not. I think the PC adapter is really the end of PSVR2 support from Sony.

Its about money not laziness unfortunately

Not going to buy Requiem, then. I'm not trying to be snarky or something like that, it's simply because I find VR much more interesting. It really adds value to most titles, and that is also valid for Resident Evil.

Ack ffs :-( VR made those last 3 Resident Evil games absolutely stellar, that's a no buy from me then, have no desire to play a resi evil game in flat screen after experiencing the sheer terror and highs of them in VR

Yeah, not getting this now.

PSVR2 will be so much fun next year especially with Boots strap, MSFS2024 VR mode update and Aces of Thunder.

Do you think PSSR2 being added next year to PS5 Pro user will have games in VR?

:messenger_downcast_sweat:

I sorta took it for granted that RE9 would be in VR by summer or Fall of 2026 by default. WTF?!?!

I really hope it's feasible.
After No Man's Sky, I thought at least GT7 would have PSSR1 with Spec III, but aside some LoD changes I noticed - that might be side effect of other changes, not exactly aimed at VR - Polyphony didn't do anything.
PSSR2 needs to be really good and cheap

Nope. I refuse to believe that Ace Combat 8 and RE 9 will not have VR support. They're simply saying they have no plans, but they surely have to.. they just can't talk about it right now. I don't believe them. I'm going to manifest the shit out of this and make it happen!!
Buhlee!!

I know the sentiment. When I say I won't be able to play the game because it's not in VR and people respond with "You can still play it on flatscreen LOL", they don't seem to understand that I "can", but I get bored and lose interest in the game after a few minutes.

For some games I just can't go back to flatscreen, that's all there is to it. I guess Resident Evil ends at Village for me, unless we get a very good VR mod for it.

On positive side re9 looks little too scary for me in vr :messenger_grinning_squinting: It looks will be scarier that re4 remake or even Village. Just concerned about vr state generaly.

That's quite shocking to me. I was mostly sure a VR version was in due course. Everything was avaliable: the tech and the know-how of how to do it from first person and from third person.
As much I love the series, I'm not really interested in playing it if not "from inside", so I will very likely pass on this. And it makes me sad.

Me too! I hope Sony is quietly funding it and Capcom just isn't saying so............for now.

I'm hoping the "at this time" in his comments are a tongue in cheek confirmation. Sony clearly hasn't totally forgotten about PSVR2, hopefully they toss some coin Capcom's way to give us another killer App for the headset.

I intentionally didn't play Village until it got VR support. I probably never would have if it didn't. I just can't do flat RE after 7, Village and RE4R. It elevates those games to next level experiences.

I'm hoping that's the case too as I share the same sentiment with RE being a VR thing. I waited to play both village and 4 in VR, and what an experience it was. I never had the original PSVR so haven't played 7 and I've heard that is probably the best of all 3, so I'm also hoping that'll get a PSVR2 port. For anyone that hasn't played MadisonVR you should give it a go, just make sure you have your brown pants on.

7 was amazing in VR. I keep hoping Capcom will update it for PSVR2 - hell, they're porting it to Switch 2 - because I would absolutely buy the upgrade and replay it in a heartbeat.

One wonders just how much it even costs for Capcom to make the game in VR. No way it cost more than $10 million, considering it only cost $2-$5 million for Nixxes to port PS4 and PS5 games to PC.

The only thing I can think of is they saw less VR engagement from RE7 to RE8/RE4.

If the the number of users grew or stayed the same even, we might have got the re9 port.
