Rap icon Eminem joins HITMAN World of Assassination both as himself and his twisted alter ego, Slim Shady. In his latest album, "The Death of Slim Shady," the rapper attempted to put his other self away, but now Eminem recruits the legendary assassin Agent 47 to put his past away permanently. In a surreal new mission crafted by Eminem in collaboration with IO Interactive and creative director / producer Paul Rosenberg, the level is packed with dreamlike twists that mirror Slim Shady's unhinged reality. Operatives find themselves in a medical facility in Hokkaido that has been twisted into the Popsomp Hills Asylum. Agent 47 will have to track Slim Shady across multiple areas, such as his broadcasting studio, to take him out without being detected. There are abundant Eminem references in the mission from throughout the rapper's discography, such as a poisoned plate of the iconic Mom's Spaghetti and a performance of "Houdini."
More and more it seems that the games behind us are better than the games in front of us.
Gaming's headed towards a tipping point ( like Facebook had) where most young people will reject modern day consoles and games.
Doesn't offend me and might try it, it is free after all so why not. Could be fun in a stupid way. Plus it's not like Hitman games don't have whacky silly stuff in them anyway.
Edit - Some of the tears and exaggeration in here is bizarre and creepy. Leave your bubble once in a while.
I do recall how pissed off he was at the Triumph the Comic Dog a long time ago, he was visibly upset. Yet he loves to mock well.....anyone. it doesn't work that way.
We Dutch have a saying...."wie de bal kaatst kan hem terug verwachten." I think that's basically fuck around, find out.

That's right, my friend... Well, Eminem... He should have kept quiet and not endorsed anyone... At least that way his fame would have been preserved... But no... There goes the idiot doing political advertising
How the hell is he nonpartisan? He's campaigned against republican candidates all the way back to saying vote against Bush in the song and video for Mosh off Encore.

That makes Eminem even dumber... Especially with the orange.
Pure propaganda... Like an idiot.
Besides, he's been making mediocre songs, honestly... The last good album was The Marshall Mathers LP, the last good song was Stan's with Dido... And the last one was "Lose Yourself." The other recent songs... are far inferior.

Don't miss the Eminem vs Slim Shady Mission Briefing Trailer for Hitman: World of Assassination, the hit third-person stealth sandbox assassination game developed by IO Interactive. Players will be tasked to take out the alter ego of Eminem, known as Slim Shady, known for his incredible lyrics and controversial lifestyle.
Track him down and take him out for good in the Eminem vs Slim Shady mission for Hitman: World of Assassination, available now for PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
Reminder for those of you that always want the full version of your games, the Eminem DLC will be delisted on Dec 31. I bet IOI saw an uptick of purchases when they delisted McGregor's DLC and decided to implement something similar for Bruce Lee and Eminem.
He is actually pretty left leaning. I mean he been dropping political bombs since Mosh back in 2004, straight up going after Bush and the Iraq War. Anyone saying otherwise clearly hasnt spent even thirty seconds looking it up
The whole "he's a hypocrite" angle falls apart that fast
You come at him, he turns it into a massacre track. If he ignores you, fine. If he responds, it's fire content. Calling that "offended" is like saying a boxer is sensitive for throwing punches after taking one. And he doesn't just randomly bully people out of nowhere. Pretty much every big diss track he's dropped was a response: someone came at him first, shaded him in interviews or dropped a track swinging
And when it comes to his shots at non-rappers, politicians, pop stars or random celebs: its usually him venting about fame, calling out hypocrisy, or just leaning into the provocative Slim Shady character. It's all performance art, not him picking fair fights and then getting butt-hurt if someone swings back
The man's sold over 220 million records, snatched 15 Grammys and an Oscar, and at 52 he's still spitting some of the most insane technical bars in the game. That's not moron territory..
He's widely regarded as the greatest rapper of all time, dead or alive, and the praise isn't rooted in nostalgia alone
When Eminem drops something new, the whole culture stops and listens. A surprise track or a real diss isn't just another upload, it's an instant global event that takes over timelines, trends, and conversations for days. Almost nobody else, in any era, still has that kind of pull. The scary part? He's only gotten sharper with age. The man is an absolute monster behind the mic
Criticize the man all you want but at least critique the real Eminem an not a strawman
The track record speaks for itself
No shade toward you, just passionate about the music and the facts. All love on this side

But his new album like previous was a big disappointment.
He basically Bait and switched, which is weird because the first single set-up would have been massive if it went in the direction it was advertising.
Sadly he just went back to his old/new ways and it was just another 2010+ Em album.
It had soo much potential.

- stand-up comedians are "exploiting" people every time they roast hecklers or talk about their own lives. Nobody says Dave Chappelle is exploiting society, he's reflecting it.
- when U2 sings Sunday Bloody Sunday, they're using real conflict and real people to make art, not "taking advantage" of anyone. Eminem does the same thing, just in a more confrontational hip-hop language.
- same with movies. Is The Godfather exploiting crime? Is Joker exploiting mental illness? Or is it storytelling, exaggeration, and commentary?
Art isn't "exploiting people," it's expression. Diss tracks, satire, provocation, this stuff existed long before Eminem, and he didn't invent it. He just happens to be absolutely elite at it
Eminem literally spells this out himself on The Ringer :
"You mention me, millions of views, attention in news /
I mention you, lose-lose for me, win-win for you."
That's not exploitation, that's him pointing out how his name alone drives clicks, and how people profit from invoking him
But his new album like previous was a big disappointment.

True, it definitely has its fair share of skips. I'm especially not into the tracks he dedicates to his daughter, his newer albums always seem to have one or two of those, and they just don't land for me at all
The technical ability is undeniable, but when the songs get packed with nonstop internal rhymes and dense wordplay, it starts to feel more like a showcase than something meant to serve the track itself. There are enough moments like that across the album that it pulls me out of the listening experience. It still has plenty of bangers imo
I think JID delivers the verse of the entire album, and considering the level of talent on it, that's really saying something
But yeah, if you judge it by the first two singles, the album definitely didn't end up delivering on what those tracks seemed to promise.
