Very small team indeed, even better with Epic's help. They are a legit 4 - 6 man team....all brothers.
They probably spent all their budget on voice acting and buying assets.

Quantum Error also got a MegaGrant from Epic so this game likely only needed to sell a few thousand copies to clear its budget....I imagine if they even got to like 10,000 copies they would be considered pretty damn profitable and would still be under the Unreal Engine threshold so would even have to pay Epic.
Silksong is $20. If they would put this at $20-30 numbers would be better and complaints lower. Quantum error was a $60 game as an example. For an indie game made by just a handful of people I thought what I've seen from Code Violet (walkthrough video) looks reasonably competently made. The real issue is not the quality of the game but the price: $49.99 on the PS store. A low budget indie game like this should have a budget price.
My man Lecture needs to get his clicks from any sort of controversy related to gaming, no matter how small.Really. We're making articles about random shovelware now? Lol.
There's probably already been shovelware crap launched exclusively on Switch this year too. The digital stores are full of garbage.

Make that 2 in a row. Marathon is up next
So did Sony pay for the console exclusivity or are the devs simply not releasing the game on Xbox and Switch? It's thegaymer so it won't be surprised by the answer.
they know it it easy to refund on PC unlike Playstation where if you download a game, tough shit.Would have gotten more sales if it was released on PC.
