So I'm really gonna get FSR4 first on my Pro rather than on my RDNA3 GPU?

What I'm not sure about is if the update will automatically improve already updated Pro games, or if another patch will be required.
gta 6 60fps.
What does that even mean?Boosts frame rates for games stuck at 70-80fps
It looks like it may need the involvement of the developer. Which I think that would be counter intuitive.
I wish that PSSR 2.0 would just 'work' with the games that use the previous iteration(s) to begin with. Maybe via AI or some other form of solution? I'm not all that privy on this side of the technology.
Means 120Hz gamers and VR.What does that even mean?
We all know it's coming, so it isn't a massive stretch even if it's a wild guess. I'm not putting much stock into the other details (boosts to classic games for example) for now though.who is this rando? why are we taking it seriously, because its in japanese?

Mark Cerny has stated multiple times that he doesn't believe system-level overrides for these kind of features have a place in the world of console gaming as he envisions it, due to the possibility of things not working as expected -- which is fine if you just happened to force DLSS 4.5 onto some 5yo game by swapping the DLL file, but certainly not for an "easy to use" mass market device such as a console.I wish that PSSR 2.0 would just 'work' with the games that use the previous iteration(s) to begin with. The PSSR res boost for classic games was reported by one of these leakers (might as well have been MLID) a while ago. And the Q1 2026 release date for PSSR2 was already known. We all know it's coming, so it isn't a massive stretch even if it's a wild guess. Hopefully it's as least as good as dlss3\fsr4.
Either PS5 Pro supports FP8 or it's the crappy version that AMD doesn't want to support.

And performing the QA necessary to ensure that the system-level override doesn't break your game as part of the certification process would already be like half the work required to actually develop a Pro patch for the game, which at that point you might as well do anyway.
gta 6 60fps.
Or, this is translated for their form of "frame gen."If game is GPU limited then sure. But for HFR gaming consoles will be most likely CPU limited by that Zen2, if that's the case resolution scaling won't help.

I have a strong feeling Rockstar will manage to get GTA 6 running at 60fps on the base PS5. The PS5 and Series X are still massively underutilized, with much of their potential held back by optimization rather than hardware limitations.
Yep, could be similar to AMD FMF:
Both consoles use underclocked CPUs from 2019. Game on scale of GTA (and with forced RT On) will most likely not allow 60fps mode (even on PS5 Pro).
They're just happy they get that all on the device they prefer to play on with added trophies on said ecosystem profile. Let them be happy. What kind of rocks PlayStation fans were living in to be impressed about upscaling PS2 and PS1 games on a PS5 ... Sony really did screw them up didn't they ?
Upscaled PS1 and 2 games are on almost every retro device from 10 years ago including these portable Chinese devices.
If anything, it's about fucking time they did something. We should give them so much shit for being this lazy. Not impressed :/. But whatever man people like to get screwed I guess.
Now the PSSR FsR4 based coming early in 2026 is a good surprise . Was expecting it late 2026 with gta 6 to be honest. So this is great news. Might actually worth buying a PS5 pro if it actually does look like FSR 4 quality ) balance settings and not performance
Was PSSR even officially confirmed on DS2?This is amazing news.
I'm absolutely balls deep in death stranding 2 on pro and there's just quite a bit of fizzle on the foliage and other parts of the image at certain times of day and lighting weather conditions. It's an amazing looking game but I would welcome a pssr 2 that can hopefully clean up that stuff.
90 percent of the time it looks incredible, but you know that annoying kind of artifact that you wish you hadn't noticed? It's like that for me.
You can run it on int8 GPUs. There's a certain hilaritity that because of the open source GPLs that leaked version is authorized to be branched and customized. If you use proton it's literally one launch variable from being enabled. So I'm really gonna get FSR4 first on my Pro rather than on my RDNA3 GPU?

At least officially from AMD.
But there is Optiscaler, that will allow you to use FSR4 on your RDNA3 GPU, on most games.
Not as direct and easy has having a toggle in the drivers, but still better than FSR3.
