What game are you currently playing?

Finished Stellar Blade on PC on friday. Then I am finally catching up with all the content I left undone in Genshin Impact (a lot of world quests).

The Luna IV, acts 7 and 8 were the best story Genshin has ever told in terms of story, presentation, and focus (no side missions or fetch quests at all). The boss fight against Dottore felt incredible and had a nice pay off in terms of Lore post all the sptacle.

Finally getting the view of Teyvat from space was cool (even though we are still looking through the Firmament veil)

Zelda Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition

15h in and just did the first divine beast. The game is very good but i don't really love the amount of time spent on menus

A Plague Tale: Innocence

7ish hours in and I like it very much. I really dig these streamlined, linear games. And there's something about collecting shit and crafting, when done so simply, which my brain absolutely loves.
Doesn't hurt that the story and the pacing has been really good so far.

Megabonk

Ah, I was dismissing it as just another meme game, but it didn't take long to realize that a Vampire Survivors + Risk of Rain 2 mix is exactly what I was looking for. The biggest downside is that those tongue-sticking monsters from the demo aren't in the full game — the enemies feel pretty generic otherwise. Still, it's a great game that really hooked me. The short run times keep the excitement high. If you enjoyed the survivors genre but couldn't find the motivation to play for hours, definitely give this a shot. Between unlocking a new character, a new weapon, and a new map, I completely lose track of time. Jumping, climbing, and skateboarding are a lot of fun too. I loved it.

I'm in the mood for a good Point n' Click Adventure so i'm playing Tales of Monkey Island ep.2.
I love Point n' Click adventures since i was a little kid.

Does anyone have Dragonball FighterZ on Steam? I cannot launch the game. The anti cheat thing runs just fine and then it says it failed to connect to a server and wants me to copy/paste a code and send it to support?

I did all the network tests. I even tried on a hotspot. DNS changed just fine. Same stupid issue.

FighterZ PC port must be hot garbage. Here I'm thinking that if FighterZ does get DLC this year, the whole process should work better! I've got it on console but I got it with all the 3 season passes on Steam. Such a POS port.

Ok I'm done with The Outer Worlds 2. I was just playing it until Mio came out and it's coming out tomorrow, I'll be moving to that. You know a game bores you when you realize you've been jumping around a town on rooftops to the rhythm of the music you're listening to in the background for 15 minutes and completely zoned out. That should tell you that you find a game boring.

Anyway, yeah. I think it's a quality game but it's boring me to tears. So I'm done with it probably for several months. Can't wait to play Mio tomorrow. After that assuming I finish it long before RE9 comes out I think I'll give Blue Prince a try. I don't think I'm going to like it given it has rogue elements and I hate rogue elements. But I'm going to try it anyway because I do adore puzzle games. I want to see what wins out. My love of puzzle games or my hatred for roguelikes.

Messed around a bit with the Tides of the Foscari expansion for Vampire Survivors, the new weapons and characters are quite cool. But especially the levels of the adventure it comes with. One of the characters is suuuper OP though. I had a game where could do nothing but let the timer just run out because the screen was literally 100% projectiles and I ended up with more coins than the UI can display. Super fun.

Also dove into Death's Door as I want something small in scope to play before Nioh 3 comes out in a couple of weeks. At first I was bit surprised at how positive a reception the game got, as it seemed way simpler than I expected. But having beaten the first major boss and gotten probably a 3rd-ish of the way through the game, it definitely opens up a lot more and makes good use of backtracking / hidden paths made available with new upgrades. Quite satisfying. Aside from that, the game sounds and looks beautiful.

I'm also interested in some good point and click adventures, though the only one I really tried to get into if any last year was Simon the Sorcerer, but apparently there is a part well into the game that if you haven't got a specific item then you can't complete the game? So I may skip that and just watch it as a walkthrough, and instead head to the sequel....

On a separate note, I am making my way through Marvel Cosmic Invasion (Gamepass) and also recently started Deliver Us Mars....today I'll be receiving my copy of Ratchet and Clank a crank in time for the PS3....

Batman: Arkham Knight (PC)

I originally bought this on day one for PlayStation 4, finished it and then ended up buying it again on PC years later mostly for the AR Challenges. The Iceberg Lounge in particular hooked me; I ended up clocking around 90 hours on that mode alone, lol

I decided to play the story again and maybe get all achievements. So far, I really like what I played.

Hogwarts Legacy on Switch 2. I've been meaning to play this one since it came out and then since the Switch 2 version came out, but I'm only just getting around to it.

It's a fun game, if fairly by the numbers. Has a lot of samey content, and the "puzzles" almost feel like an insult they're so easy, but exploring the expansive castle and whizzing around the highlands beyond is enjoyable, and the story mostly stays out of the way. It's a good game to play with an audiobook, podcast, or show on in the background.

Performance is mostly serviceable, though I did find one puzzle room where things really chugged for no apparent reason.

Picked up Mio and really enjoying it so far. Harder than I expected though but has a really cool and unique difficulty slider if the game is too hard for you where every time a boss kills you it's weaker the next time. So you can gradually fight it and improve while also it getting a tiny bit easier each time. And some other sliders also. For those who are scared off by difficulty of Metroidvanias.

Some things I don't like which is if you die you lose all your currency even if you make it back to where you died. Also I don't think the map is the best but I've played worse.

I am going to see if I still have the 8bitDo adapter for my DS4 controller, to use on my modified SNES Mini.

I want to go back and try to finally beat Batman NES. I just watched the 1989 film again and I am in the mood for some nostalgic Bats action. I never beat Batman NES but I've always loved it.

(I need to finally get through the underwater bomb level in TMNT NES too!)

EDIT: Fairly annoyed at my own stupidity. I thought I had some NES games in the SNES Mini but I do not. I should just really give up video games at this point.

just finished Spider-Man (PS1):

without nostalgia glasses it's hard to recommend it these days given how bad the combat is and how clunky the controls can be.

but it's a childhood classic of mine, so I finally 100%ed it on Retroachievements today. hardcore mode of course 😏

p.s.: FUCK THE ZIPLINE CHALLENGE! MY GOD!

I honestly don't know what to play.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is just right around the corner so I dont know I should even start new game or just wait for DQVII Reimagined.

I hate being in a limbo like this.

Playing Yotei and I'm the hater of all things woke, but this chick doesn't bother me much... I put a mask over her face and big armor so I don't even know it's a chick half the time 😂 but no in all seriousness there's just something fun about the world of "ghost of" games, it's a decent loop.

Playing battlefield 6 still.

Finishing up Indiana Jones platinum. Pumped to dive into DQ 7 soon and the new legend of heroes.

Stone Simulator - PC
Ball x Pit - PS5
Deep Rock Galactic Survivor = XSX
Switch - Gathering Dust
Amiga 1200 - Championship Manager 93

Finished up Cat Quest 3 last night (pretty easy platinum also) and in the final third or so of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.
Going to start Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth tonight (great ps+ extra game for me).

FM26 Altrincham are now in League 1 but I'm going to have to wrangle the board to build a new stadium because we have like a 5000 seat capacity and we need $$ coming in from bums on seats. Have 3 players retiring this season so I'm back into the market for some 30+ year olds that are not getting playing time in their current Prem/Championship clubs.

Beat Ace Combat 7 a few days ago. Loved it, from the visuals with the blue skyes and how well the clouds are rendered, to everything related to the gameplay with each mission bringing in something new, and the air combat being so fun and a constant dance of trying to get a shot while avoiding missile after missile.

I've really liked the game, with the story being the only thing that was kinda shit imo. In fact, I've liked it so much that I've grabbed the 3 extra missions DLC for like 8 bucks. Tried the first one and it was harder than the base game and also very fun and with some great music. If the other 2 are just as good then it'll be a great send-off for an amazing game.

Thinking of trying the first Maximo game on the PS2 during the weekend.

Switch 2: Pokemon Legends Z-A - I feel like this game sucks ass in so many ways. However, I am sort of trying to blast through it.

PS Portal: BallxPit ( haven't thought if I was going to keep the PS Portal)
PS5: Fortnite/Motorfest Weeklies/Absolum

Looking to purchase: a gaming laptop maybe? A $1k handheld seems ridiculous at the moment but it may be nice. I am thinking a gaming laptop for some portability (don't really need extension portability) might be beneficial.

Weird thing to say about a game you've never played dude.
Because I watched many gameplay of it and reviews, it just doesn't interest me.

Also the reason I didn't get Souls fatigue because I don't play any Souls-like that frequently comes out.

When I play Souls game I wanted to be actual Souls game,….it just how I am.

Mio is pretty good if you like Metroidvanias with platforming elements. It's not Hollow Knight level in quality, but it's quite good. Really enjoying it so far. But then again I adore the genre.

I've been playing DA: The Veilguard (XSX), its okay at best. The combat and graphics are solid enough, but the art direction, writing, story, and gameplay loop are either boring, lame, or just crap. For example, one of the companions is a bloody assassin, but he doesn't have a hint of a bad bone in him. Instead, he just wants to talk about coffee (yes, coffee). Its like the writers decided to write the game for a kid audience. There are a few intense moments, but most of the game is soooooooo basic. I've also been playing E33 (PS5), and its amazing. Just doing some farming to kill the end game megaboss, so I can get the platinum.

As soon as I complete one of the above, I'll be moving on to Baldur's Gate 3 (PS5).

Still on Duke Zero Hour but the levels are getting annoying with how hidden and confusing they are.

Playing Alan Wake 2 as well which is slowly growing on me despite the dumb bullshit and honestly tedious gameplay - it's good in short doses.

Bought Wrc Generations off cd keys as well as dirt rally 2 won't drop in price. This is awesome - looks fantastic, runs great, sounds great and the car handling is really weighty.
Stages are really well done and pretty intense to drive as well.
I love rally and racing games, pondering if project motor racing is worth it on controller as well now.

Ad Infinitum - ~ 7 /10

Rarely see a game focused on World War I, it's one of those walking sim horror games with some interesting visuals but nothing really to make it stand out from the rest of the pack.

Played 230 hours on PC and got the PS5 platinum rather quickly via cross platform progression.

Everytime I went back to the game it enticed me to start another playthrough. The game is just that good.

Got my platinum for Lies Of P(Nameless puppet was tough but also a lot of fun to fight). Going to start either AFTERIMAGE or Metaphor: Refantazio. But I find it hard to choose.

I know, it looks and sounds like one if those cheap porn games that release evey day but I promise it's not.

Parasite Eve inspired combat with a fairly decent amount of variety and depth, plenty of challenges to unlock a variety of loot and 51 costumes for your gooning eyes to look at.

There was a demo but it was outdated so the dev removed it for the launch. He said a new one will go up once he has a chance (focusing on any launch day issues for now). Oh, and its a solo dev project.

Because Lies Of P is fucking fantastic.
Even I wanted to there is no way I can finish this game before DQVII Reimagined comes out and week after that Romeo is a Deadman comes out and RE9 after that.

I have no room for any other games.

I've been playing nothing all month. Life has been exhausting and too busy. Next up is Metroid Prime 4, maybe Gears of War Reloaded.

Just finished Lost Planet (Xbox 360 on Xbox Series X).

-The mechs don't really enhance the game any. You can complete most of the missions (maybe all except the final boss) on foot, and do so with less chance of dying than if you try to use the mechs in each level. Yes, it's a lot slower, but it's honestly more fun.

-The game has Z-tier cinematics that go on forever (but you can skip them). The story and characters are dumb. The only thing good about it is that the Climate Scientists in the game are the evil ones.

-The player character runs so slowly that he makes Alan Wake look like Usain Bolt.

-I didn't discover until the game ended that it can actually be played in first person. I've never heard anyone mention that, nor have I ever seen any screens or clips of it. So I never bothered digging into the menu until I was ready to uninstall it. It probably wouldn't be very good to play like that, but it might have simplified one or two of the boss fights (or maybe not).

It was a dumb and easy game. A decent diversion for a week considering how cheap it was.

5.5/10

Lost Planet had so much potential, but it was one of the most mid games I ever played. Somehow they made the mechs suck, and the exposure system constantly draining health was really annoying. I dropped the first one early and never went back, nor had any interest in the sequel.

The story is kind of nonsensical, and that's not new for Ace Combat. I disliked some of the gameplay elements in 7 that went along with the story as well. But glad you liked the game overall. 4, 5 and Zero are the pinnacle of the series - all worth a playthrough if you're able to.

Yeah some missions have gimmicks that weren't all that fun to deal with, like that damn desert storm mission in which you have to look for some trucks. But still overall a quite enjoyable game. Rhe DLC missions are specially good, very intense and with amazing music.

I already have those games ready to play on my PS2. Want to play some other stuff before I dive into more AC but yeah, excited to play more of this saga!

I've tried quite a few online casino platforms over time, mostly in the same casual way I try different games, and I've learned pretty quickly that not all of them are worth sticking with. For me, stability and ease of use matter a lot, because nothing kills the mood faster than slow loading, unclear menus, or confusing withdrawal steps. That's why I usually look things up before committing, just to see how platforms compare and what other users say about them. I like sites that clearly explain what you're getting into, especially when it comes to payouts and usability, and that's how I ended up checking resources with info about Beste Online Goksites van Nederland becausethat kind of overview makes it easier to avoid low-quality platforms and focus on ones that are actually smooth and enjoyable to use, which keeps the whole experience relaxed instead of frustrating.
Tides of the Foscari really leans into what makes Vampire Survivors so addictive, especially when you hit those absurdly overpowered builds where the game basically plays itself and the screen turns into pure noise. Those moments feel ridiculous but also kind of earned, which is why they're so satisfying. I've had similar runs where the counter just keeps ticking and you stop caring about anything except seeing how far it can go.
Lately I've been spending a lot of time with Hades, and it's one of those games which I like from first seconds. On the surface, it's "just" a roguelike, but the way the story, dialogue, and progression are woven into repeated runs makes every failure feel meaningful instead of frustrating.
