Arknights: Endfield |OT| A Story of One of The Last Originium-powered Multi-surface Vessels. The Year is ~1254. The Name of The Place is Tallos-II

And I'm really close to dropping zenelesss for this tbh
I already did when it comes to not pulling anyone (deliberately) for the next 2 patches and until 3.0 - only dailies, DA, SD and small events I can complete relatively fast. 3.0 and a few patches after is going to be make or break for me, they really need to deliver and make the game better.

Want a really funny joke, just to understand who the game's target audience is? Right when you reach the final boss. A tutorial window will open, and you'll never believe what's in there...
They'll seriously tell you before the final boss (Main map) in tutorial that it would be nice to craft sets, equip them, and improve your weapons. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
They're telling you this multiple times btw, not just at the end so there's that.

As for bosses in general, the game doesn't have a single decent or well-designed boss. They're all incredibly boring and, frankly, poorly designed. The final boss is especially disappointing; it's a very boring fight.
I've seen only one story boss so far, but the first boss is really good and it foces you to move around cuz of what he does with AOE attacks and close range ones. I had fun fighting him tbh and have not complaints. We'll see about the rest of them. Oh, the huge Rino one is decent too even though it's not really a boss, more like a huge Elite enemy.

I have a 2 gacha rule , wuwa and zenless were in the list
I really can't and won't maintain 3 gacha games
And I'm really close to dropping zenelesss for this tbh

Right now I'm running with Wuwa, Endfield and Star Rail. Dropping Zenless is fine, it's a mediocre game.

Running 3 gacha is fine as long as you realize that you don't need every character, don't need to finish events and don't need to do dailies. Star Rail I just do the main story and skip all events, sidequests and banners. WuWa I haven't done any of the resetting events for months.

They're telling you this multiple times btw, not just at the end so there's that.
That's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about what I didn't want to see this after 26 hours of gameplay - Having fully built factories, equipped and updated waepons, fully crafted sets on all characters. The tutorials in this game is incredibly poor, and I'm more than sure some players will simply quit because they're bogged down by these pointless, endless tutorials.

These are preferences and tastes, I just didn't remember any of the bosses for any reason and their design is extremely weak.
Oh, the huge Rino one is decent too even though it's not really a boss, more like a huge Elite enemy.
They will repeat him 3-4 times, I didn't count exactly, not a single new move, only the amount of HP and damage is different.

Tried it out for the last few days and it is really well designed, the gatcha system is absolute chaos to understand so i will hold off on the monthly banner and see what new characters come out. But will probably have this and Zzz as my main gatchas for awhile. Really nice graphics and character design, just need to figure out a good factory setup. 🙂

Just focus on trading and upgrades; don't build anything personal, there's no point. To upgrade factories, you need credits from trade. You'll have several factories, all of which need upgrading. So, make sure you're producing everything needed for trade between these factories. Add in the production of character armor sets, and batteries to power additional stations—you'll need a lot of current, plus other factories buy them. As a bonus, add in the production of first aid kits for your group (they make the game as simple and comfortable as possible, and other factories also buy them). I highly recommend thinking about producing throwing grenades in advance (you'll thanks me later :messenger_tears_of_joy: ).

After changing resources, or updating the trade list and adding new items, your factories will have to be redesigned and optimized for new purposes.

Nah, they'rte good enough to show you how combat and character / element interactions work. But that's character combat tutorials.

Yeah, I've said that in my post too - way too much factory stuff and tutorials for something which is by a country mile not the best part of the game at all.

That's not good, but then again, Kuro shamelessly c&p 1.0 bosses left and right everywhere too in WuWa, not to mention echoes.

Haha great,Thank you! I will have this in mind while playing! 😀

Happy you're having fun with the game, my man. Going to add you to my friend list in a sec once I log in.

Edit: Invite sent. I'm the one with the Yvonne pfp.

I'm kinda obsessing over the game and the surrounding media they released a bit more than expected this weekend, lol, so I'll stick to two things with this post. First, I love the title screen BGM, especially that opening moment when the vocal artist says ARKNIGHTS.

And while I'm really looking forward to the full OST dropping (hopefully soon), here's a cool mix by tnbee, who mostly covers hoyo OSTs, for Chen's theme:

3 gachas is the lvl of mental commitment that I really don't want to have max I can do is 2.
Wuwa is my love and it sets it apart from hoyoverse games and the 2nd one I don't know about arkknight yet but we will see where it goes

Dunno why the OST goes this hard in these domains I'm farming for XP and character progression mats, but I'm really digging it. Makes all these Laevatain combos look cinematic as fuck, lol.

Early days but so far I'm not loving it.

The game looks and sounds amazing and is also optimized to a godly degree so huge props to the devs for that. But the combat feels very shallow to me, the story seems extremely derivative and thus far none of the characters have been memorable. The factory building is neat but also wholly divorced from the character gacha so it immediately starts out in a weird place if it's meant to be a major hook.

And good lord the fucking tutorials in this game man... They probably could've gotten away with the obscene amount of tutorials if they had simply made them less intrusive. Just plop in your tutorial windows in the bottom corner of the screen and give players the option to bring them up with a button press if they need to.

Instead they did the goofy gacha thing where the game takes control away from you completely and forces you to press specific buttons, only here it's on a much larger scale and goes on for hours and hours and hours. Why don't you just tell me to open a menu and maybe highlight the correct option while still letting me fiddle around with said menu and familiarize myself with the options? None of the game's systems are anywhere near complicated enough to warrant this nonsense.

Forgot to mention that the music in the game is something else and I love it to death! Just the login screen alone is a massive banger. I really hope they'll release soundtrack soon for me to listen on the go.

Pretty much my impressions after playing it for 3 days, im still getting random tutorials in my face from time to time. Most related to factory building as it slowly unlocks new things.

Great visuals and art, great music, great performance on PC. Some cool and well implemented ideas like the factory and ability to costumize the world, by for example laying out zip lines ( Death Stranding did this as well but better), and exploration feels good with alot stuff to find out and puzzles to solve.
But the core elements, like combat gameplay, characters aquisition and story, have all beem mid to trash tier, even if the story was good it would have been ruinind by the pacing of the constant tutorials poping off. The gacha system in this game is one of the worst i seen in a while by adding layers of unecessary confusion with currencies that dont need to exist and its only there to set traps for players to spend more.

Im gonna keep playing, but unless the endgame content has some kind of magic hook, im most likelly dropping it once im done with the current content in the game. The monetization makes it feel more like a virtual casino than an actual game. This could be avoided by monetizing cosmetics for the characters instead of locking the best characters and weapons behind slot machines.

Was curious about this one have always been impressed by gatcha games and the quality of the gameplay and systems. Some have caught my attention but never invested time into such as Genchin but I have to say this one is excellent. About an hour or so in and it plays looks and sounds absolutely premium.

How do we get this out of live service gatcha games but Sony is intent in boring us to death with Yotei?

Mental but here we are.

Runs extremely well on the MSI Claw 8ai so imagine it will on other devices.

If your struggling with factory efficiency or what to craft for good amount of stock bills - https://endfieldtools.dev/community-factories/

Check LC and SC battery ones of the best farms early to mid game.

Man, this game is super fun. I'm genuinely surprised. The factory management made me check it out but it has a really nice balance of combat, exploration, factory stuff, and story. It's my first gacha game so it took some time to wrap my head around all the little systems and mechanics. As this is my first, not sure how crazy the gacha stuff will be but not really worrying about it. Just taking my time and enjoying.

Pulled Ember for my first 6* (excluding free ardelia) so I'm really happy with that. Not sure how good she is but meta be damned, she's cool. Only did the beginner banner but I guess I'll just hold on to all the other banner pulls for now til I understand this better. I assume the operators in the next coming seasons are typically better than the previous?

Anyway, I added a couple of you and if you want to add: 6890876218 (US/eu). Elastic market def coming in clutch.

Well, it depends on a lot of things. For example in ZZZ, there's no reason to pull for some new characters cuz old ones are still great. Endfield is different in a sence that there's 6* characters as well as 5* ones, whereas in WuWa or ZZZ 5* are max for example.

Oh, btw, When you pull on character banners, you only getting characters and when you pull on weapon banners you only getting weapons. The problem is, there's just tons of dupes of characters you can't convert into anything useful (I'm talking about dupe tockens which you get a ton of and then can't use to convert into more Arsenal Tickets for example) like in Girls Frontline 2 with it's excellent refund system which let's you buy more pulls. Actually, I need to ask them about this in the survey and speacking of which, they already doing 2 of them in just few days which I haven't seen at all while playing ZZZ or WuWa.

Focused a bit on decorating the reception room, and I kinda wish the game made use of RT reflections instead of SSR, but it looks nice still.

Nice that you're enjoying your time with Endfield; looks like I already have you on my friends list. That said, this bit of info is so crucial that I hope everyone in the OT unlocks the feature ASAP since it's a really important way to earn Valley Bucks, and you end up needing those pretty much everywhere.

Speaking of which, most of the income and profit for today was just from buying low and selling high on the market in other friends' worlds.

aint that the truth. i felt like i couldn't do like anything (gear/factory/etc progression) til i got some valley bucks lol. I was barely scraping by til I unlocked elastic market. The depot node delivery really helped out too. Quick and easy for a nice profit.

By the way, with the elastic market selling: is there a way to view other people's prices without physically going to their ship to check? Or do you just have to go and check 1 by 1 in each person's world and check the best price? There's gotta be right?

Yep, but it's easy to miss, IMO, as I didn't notice the option myself at first. Only when I took like a third look at the item I bought did I finally spot the button where you can check the best price.

Nice fake out animation.

Also, damn, these JP players are doing some crazy optimization with those zip lines. Might be worth checking out once I'm done with the main story in a few days.
I built a zipline on the resource mining route to make collection easier!
I recommend the one that's easy to build, since you can collect everything with it!
You can only place 20, but it fits perfectly

You can easily go around starting from ☆!
Climbing cliffs or taking detours takes a ton of time, so please give it a try ✨ and copy it 🌷

Since I got a bunch of those banner-specific tickets I decided to use them. Don't think I ever got this lucky. Got Last Rite on my first 10-roll on the Beginner's as well. Then her copy on the standard. Wouldn't mind getting a 3rd character instead but now I definitely can't complain haha!
Feel free to add me as well, 6820985868. Added Thighs already. Let's hope lady fortune is planning on throwing more 6* our way xddd

Ok, need some clarification about this gacha pitty system.

So i got Laevatain in 40 pulls (30 pulls + 10 free pull i got from doing 30 pulls) So i got her with the 10 free tickets that dont count towards pitty, and her pitty did not reset from getting her, so it still says now 90 pulls untill garanteed. Does this happens all the time if u pull her before the pitty or only when u get the character using the free tickets that dont count towards pitty?

Well, I think that's it for today. Finished Chapter 1 and hit AL 45.

I liked the second boss the most (Triagellos). Gave me big Returnal vibes with the crunchy sound design and some of its attack patterns although dialed down a notch or two due to the nature of the game. Kinda makes me hype for Saros once it releases in a few months.

Overall, an enjoyable story with some nice world‑building. Going to head to Wuling tomorrow, and then I'll start messing around with the factory a lot more.

OH wow. I guess it really doesn't erase the 120 spark either. That's pretty damn cool. Are you required to use them right away? Cuz otherwise next time you could wait till 65th pull for the soft pity to kick in and then gamble with that instead.

You dont actually get the 10 free tickets, its built in the banner. So when you do 30 pulls using your resorces, the next 10 pulls on the banner will be free and wont use any resorces. I called it 10 free tickets but its just 10 free pulls.
It also did not reset the 50/50 pitty as it says 50 more pulls to garantee a 6*.

I just spent a couple hours fucking around with my factory instead of advancing onwards through the story sigh

I guess I'm gonna have a lot of these buck capsules soon lmao

NGL I'm enjoying the factory building shit as someone who has never played any of the factory management sim games like Factorio or Satisfactory

Am I going to buy those games? No, I'm not. But I don't mind it here, especially since they give you included blueprints and you can get community blueprints too

I'm kind of addicted to this.

The story so far is very bland but other than that, the game is firing on all cylinders. This just might be the best 1.0 of any gachas I have played.

I haven't done any pulls on PS5, but supposedly the implementation for pulling on banners with the DualSense on PlayStation is really good. Can someone confirm?

Btw, don't forget to check the list of delivery jobs from time to time once you unlock depot nodes, as friends on your list can issue jobs that you can accept on their behalf. I did this twice yesterday since I was rushing, and it's always worth listing them anyway as these pay really well, and both the person issuing the job and the one making the delivery receive stock bills.

Looks like Hypergryph is going hard with the ads for the game in mainland China. This video was taken in a subway station in Shanghai.

You can use the Dualsense on PC it does the same thing. Dosent have haptics when using it wireless but it uses the triggers to simulate pulling the lever.
Good to know. I've got one of my DualSenses on my desk that I use wired. I'll plug it in and do a pull on PC.

It is. Super impressive by how high quality this game is. Thers alot of cool ideas all blended together to offer things to do and i find them all very well implemented with an amount of polish that most Triple A games lack these days. I have a feeling this game is gona dethrone all the big gacha games in the market, and not just for a month or 2 cuz its new.

It has haptics wireless as well now, they added it a while back.
In this game the haptic feedback only work when using the Dualsense wired. I have been playing the game with Dualsense wireless and thers no vibration. I just hooked the cable to test it and the haptics work only wired. Some games have vibration wireless but i think not haptic feedback, its just mimicking the rumble vibration.
The adaptive triggers work fine even when wireless though.

Well, I've been messing around with the factory a bit more. Managed to set up some scuffed automated production for Buck Capsule [C] at the Sub‑AIC in Valley Pass. I've got a theoretical yield of ~8.5k capsules in 24 hours, which my man Soth will buy for 10 a pop, so that's a nice 85k in valley stock bills every day. We'll see how it goes tomorrow when I check back in to sell the Buck Capsule [C] batch. I don't have blueprints yet, since I'm just experimenting, but here are some screenshots in normal view.:

After around 40 pulls i got Laevatain and I'm happy i got her early. I did another 10 pulls after that and i got Ember as well so now i just need to get Laevatain's weapon.

So far the game has been really good though i still find the whole factory thing a bit hard to get my head around as I'm not used to that type of gameplay but I'm sure eventually i will get to know it better in time.

If anyone wants to add me my UID is - 6040213083 (NA/EU)

Thers a training mode where u do missions for the factory buildings. It helps alot in understanding what each thing do and u also get some rewards for completing those training missions.
