Installed CS2 again the other day, just to check out the new community maps. Looked nice but played awful.

Then I played one match of competitive Mirage and instantly uninstalled lol, shits so fuckin' stale and for some reason I keep getting (toxic) eastern European teammates despite being as west as can be.

Not here to wish failure on anything. I've actually said a few postive things about it in other threads. But I still think it's going to bomb in te long run.

If the game's actually fire, numbers and word-of-mouth will prove it. Until then, open discussion (including criticism) belongs in the thread imo

If you have an issue with kernel level anti cheat on PC, you should probably play it on console. Those are both good questions, though. Most games allow you to disable crossplay, but IMO the best games only activate PC vs console crossplay when you have a PC player in your group. That's what I'm hoping for.

I'd save the victory laps for a bit, F2P changes the whole equation compared to something like Concord. How many people will be playing this time next week? Or even tomorrow? Will be better indicators for success.

Honestly, it does look and sound pretty cool, so good for them! I just don't think it's for me per se. Base building/management stuff just doesn't tickle my fancy at all.

Its gonna hit several hundred thousand in the first 3-4 days. The hype has definitively shifted.

But the full story won't be told until 2 months out, we have seen games hit it big early to struggle over time, but the early goings will be a success.
