They did remake it in 2008 with Jason Statham but it was kind of a dud with a few straight to DVD sequels.

Typical reviewer bullshit.
They have to tell you something is wrong or you did not understand a concept when often it is them who did not understand what they are talking about.
They are so full of themselves they could argue about the meaning of a quote in your native language when they barely know how to speak it.
I know they have to find stuff to correct to justify their existence, still peer reviewed journals are so lame most of the time.
